One of our best trips
Robert_H, Oct 2023
Our guide John made the week enjoyable. Each stop was well thought out. Only criticism would be that we ate the same lunch each day.

Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed your tour!
An incredible but packed trip
Guillaume_R, Oct 2023
This has been one of the best travel of our life. The landscapes are all breathtaking and all the activities are extraordinary. The only negative point is that this is a lot to do in 7 days and we would have like to spend more time in each national park.

Thank you for your review! We pack a lot into this tour and we're glad you enjoyed your visit to these amazing places!
What you need to know before taking this tour
Surnjani_D, Oct 2023
People are cramped into a minivan, only one person who was responsible for everything including driving, doing grocery for cold lunches, serving, loading/unloading luggages, and providing instruction for hiking so you are not lost. The last two days of breakfast are not included which is not clarified during booking. The lodgings are not definitely 3 stars, they are all 2 stars lodge. The booking in Viator is not very clear on what are actually included and excluded, we ended paying a lot more on foods, and tips which are not specified in the beginning. Many surprises. People attended in this tour are very nice, helping the tour guide to do many stuffs. I understand this is a lot for one person to handle. Although the tour was a good experience, it is just too expensive to add on top of what we already paid. I just felt cheated.

Thank you for your review- we are glad you enjoyed your tour. Hotels are 3 star and it's clearly detailed in the tour description that breakfasts and evening meals are not included. It sounds like some hotel's provided you a free breakfast which is great! Lunches are sandwich style as detailed in the tour info and requires a local payment of $65 which covers 7 picnic/sandwich style lunches. This is cost effective as well as allowing guests to maximize their time exploring the parks. The vehicles we use are 2022 model fully customized touring vehicles with stand up room, enlarged viewing windows, AC, cupholders and individual reclining seats. They hold 15 passengers -on your tour there were 12 guests leaving some extra seats free to spreadout. Tipping is customary and discretionary in the USA. Thank you for travelling with us.
Unique, memorable, harsh environment
Parham_R, Sep 2023
This was an amazing package! It covered everywhere I wanted to see in the South West area and our guide (John) was very good and familiar with what he was doing, he took us to places that we would not have known at all if not in the tour. The only thing that was off putting as a non-American, not to blame the tour but more a cultural shock, was that everywhere we went (including this tour itself) at the end we were supposed to tip which I had never seen in my entire life in Europe. But overall a very nice and memorable trip.

10/10 would recommend this trip. Our tour guide, Chloe, was absolutely incredible! She had a loose itinerary and was so accommodating. My group had 6 other people, some chose lodging and everyone else chose camping. I went in June and definitely make sure you make for all weather conditions. It can get windy in Bryce and Monument Valley. Overall, such a great experience!! Memories that will last a lifetime.

Breathtaking Utah National Parks
Margaret_P, Sep 2021
This is an exceptional tour that provides the opportunity to see all the major Utah national parks, plus the south rim of the Grand Canyon in one week. The scenery in the parks is breathtaking. The small group size is perfect, allowing for a lot of flexibility to meet travelers’ needs and interests. The tour guide, Chris was very well organized and helpful. Highly recommend this tour.
Looking for hike in nature's wonderland?.......Here it is.
Jyoti_D, Oct 2019
We (myself and my wife) went on this amazing tour for 8 days. We will cherish the memories of this trip for the rest of our lives. Although felt strenuous at some times, in the end, every step turned out to be worth. As far as service is concerned, it was outstanding. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable explaining how Colorado-plaute was formed and how several nature's forces came together in shaping these wonderful canyons, arches, bridges and huddoes. Accommodations provided were excellent. Lunch sandwiches although tasted delicious to start with, by the end of eight days they started to feel boring. Overall trip was enjoyable and memorable,

Ann_G, May 2016
The local guides, Bindlestiff Tours, were very well organized and planned everything in detail. Our guide, Justin, was a third-generation expedition leader and took care of us as if we were family. I cannot praise him enough. Our group of 13 campers included 4 Americans, several Brits, and a delightful mix of other foreign-born travelers. All were stronger hikers than us but we had a great time as well. This trip is great for active hikers looking to visit a lot of places in a short amount of time. We very much enjoyed the optional additional activities of the Hummer tour and the canyoneering outing as well--don't skip these!

As a way to see several National Parks in the south Utah - Arizona region, this was an excellent tour. Our tour leader, Vern, made every effort to make sure we did things that fitted the weather, our level of hiking experience and tastes. The result was that we saw so many things in a relatively short time, had lots of fun as a group, did many satisfying hikes and had enjoyable camping experiences. I couldn't recommend this tour group highly enough.

Frances M, Sep 2013
I decided to see some of the national parks after realising that just seeing cities wouldn't be the best use of my time during a 30 day holiday. Came across this tour on Viator and after reading the reviews realised that it would be ideal for me as a solo female traveller. I wasn't disappointed at all, the communication from Becky was excellent and she made sure that I was accommodated for as I'm a vegan. Cari, the tour leader, was very approachable and helpful, she went out of her way to ensure that there was food that I could eat and checked labels carefully to make sure there wasn't anything in there that wasn't suitable. Our first day in Zion started at the Canyon Overlook trail, a reasonably easy short trail walking along exposed ledges to a beautiful viewpoint. After that we had a delicious dinner, prepared by Cari. The next day was our free day and I decided to do Hidden Canyon which is a gorgeous (albeit slightly perilous) hike up the side of the cliff and down into a small hidden canyon (hence the name). You use chains to pull yourself up some of the ledges where there are drop offs into a ravine. After that I went hiking down the narrows which is where you walk in the river. The views were stunning! At the end of the day we had another delicious meal around the campfire. After that we went to Bryce Canyon which was equally stunning and stayed at a beautiful campground with a hot tub and pool and beautiful showers. We did the Queen's Garden hike down into Bryce Canyon which was a lot of fun. On to Antelope Canyon which is absolutely spectacular. After that we had navajo tacos at Monument Valley and went on a white knuckle jeep ride of the navajo nation. The high winds (over 40mph) didn't deter us from camping and the next day it was on to the Grand Canyon. I did the South Kaibab trail and saw and photographed a California Condor! The last day on Route 66 was fun, stopping at Seligman. This tour had the perfect pacing and had a great atmosphere.

Thank you for your feedback! We're happy to hear you had such a great time and thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We have forwarded your kind comments on to our local operator so they may share with their guides. We hope the rest of your 30-day holiday was just as wonderful and wish you happy travels!

Gary_M, Jul 2013
Overall this was a good tour. Im not sure about showers that you have to put quaters into though. This seems a bit backward and maybe it should be covered by the company. I have never seen this before and have travelled extensively including to places in Africa but never encountered anywhere you have to do this. I loved the way we were given options for the daily activities rather than having to follow a set itinerary. I would have preferred it if the guide could have come along with us on all the hikes. The food was good and there was plenty of it made available. The guide was very informative regarding the areas we were travelling through and about the hiking options available. The vehicle was very comfortable however there were only 4 of us. The tents were adequate. Some of the National parks shuttle drivers, entrance fee takers and Navajo toll takers exhibited poor or unco-operative attitudes which I find very dissapointing given that they are representing their country to international visitors in the public eye. If people cant be helpeful and plesant they should move on to different employement opportunities. Our guide helped to make up for this.
Response from Host, Jul 2013
Thank you for your review. Our tour operator has written us back concerning the showers at the campgrounds. We wanted to give you their response: "We do not own any campgrounds. We use a variety of campgrounds based on availability and quality. The Grand Canyon South Rim pipes in all their water from the North Rim and charges a couple of quarters for their hot showers to reduce water consumption as its costly to provide it. We are glad you had a great tour and enjoyed our guides information and knowledge." Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope you had a wonderful vacation.
