What To Expect

This sightseeing tour to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon begins with a hotel pickup in Las Vegas. Hop aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach equipped with reclining seats, panoramic windows, and onboard restroom. Then make the trek east, first stopping at the Hoover Dam Memorial Bridge for photos, and then driving through Joshua Tree forests and the Mojave Desert to the Grand Canyon.

Upon arrival at the Grand Canyon West Rim, enjoy around four hours of time to explore. Hike to the Eagle Point and Guano Point overlooks to take in the amazing views. Visit the Hualapai Ranch for a wild west show and enjoy a delicious hot lunch (included in tour price).

There are also two upgrades available: add a thrilling walk on the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass walkway nearly 4,000 feet above the floor of the canyon; or enjoy a stunning helicopter flight. Lift off high above the canyon in a helicopter, then swoop down between its walls and land on a bluff overlooking the Colorado River. Walk around, get an up-close look at the many layers of the interior of the canyon and gain an even greater appreciation of the immensity of this natural wonder.

Tour bus picked us up then brought us to the office where we loaded on a double decker bus. Along the way our driver Mr Dwayne was very friendly, knowledgeable. Upon arrival at the Hoover Dam for 15 minutes for photo shots. When we reached the Grand Canyon the bus driver gave instructions about time frame we were to meet back at the bus. The stay was 3 hours. The view of the Canyon was absolutely breathtaking. We were able to sit outside at tables and enjoy the lunch while viewing the canyon. I would highly recommend Gray Line Bus Tours to the West Rim and Hoover Dam Tour. I am completely satisfied with the tour it was all what the advertisement promoted.

Our day began on time the pickup and transportation was smooth. It was a sub contracted driver so there was no narration of the tour or bottled water as advertised. Upon arrival one of our tickets was given to someone else so we lost a bit of time getting started. Lines are long so 3.5 hours was only enough for the Skywalk, lunch( must be redeemed at one of the on-site restaurants) and photos at Eagle Point. We had to go back to the bus so missed Guano Point. Overall a good experience. Knowing what I know now I would recommend purchasing general admission only.

This was one of my most memorable lifetime experience. Grand Canyon is a miracle of nature, if you love nature pls visit Eagle and Guano Point. This tour is very reasonably priced and let me tell you abt our guide Mr. Wayne. He is extremely polite and has amazing knowledge abt the city. He might have done almost non stop commentary during the trip but all that was hilarious and very informative. He helped us plan the visit and make the Points visit smooth and hassle free. He also showed us Boulder city as a bonus. Enjoy Vegas!!!!! This was my third time in Vegas and I will never get bored of this place.

An experience to always remember!

Your day will begin by waking up very ealy. Prior planning and coordinating is needed so that your on time and ready to board the tour bus and take the things you need. Make sure that your tour bus is equipped with what you paid for. On my initial booking, the tour bus was not equipped with a restroom, reclining seats or over head video monitors. (2- Stars for Gray Line, for not giving me what I had paid for on the initial day) But, I had to contact Viator and talk with the Tour provider to address the issue with the restroom. According to the itinerary Viator sends, the Tour Company makes a few stops, but this trip is long and will take the whole day. (5- Stars for rectefing, we just had to go the next day) total trip is around 10 to 12 hours. On the next day, we got picked up at 6:40 am from our location and returned back at around 5:00 pm. Everything is contingent upon other people being on time, the driver and traffic. The beauty about all this is that you can relax, enjoy the ride, hopefully your tour guide is knowledgeable and funny like ours (Wayne- From Gray Line). They Sky walk was amazing, the view and awe of the West Rim was breathtaking. I highly recommend eating the Native American lunch which was delicious at Guano Point. If you also want to buy souvenirs or items, I recommend getting them at the SkyWalk Store. Don't waist time in the beginning, you will be late and not have time for other things at the Grand Canyon. Saving the shopping for last, is another good option.

Our driver was wonderful and everyone we encountered at the visitor center and skywalk center including restaurant servers and shuttle drivers were welcoming and helpful. My mom has mobility issues and everything went smoothly and accommodating. We are older and the trip is long but it was worth it ☺️ Thank you!

Nice tour but pickup/drop off not fair to all passengers

So the tour itself was great, had enough time at places, enough rest stops, Derek was really good but two complaints. First is somehow doing something about people who do not show up to leave at the designated time, I think some close to half hour late. Is not fair to the other 95% of the people waiting on the bus. And a major complaint, we were first to get picked up and the very last to get dropped off. Either the pickup or drop off should be in reverse order of the other. Thought this tour was 12 hours max but ended up being 13 hours where as the last to get picked up in the morning were first to get dropped off in the evening and had a 11 hour day (approx). It would only be fair to get dropped off first on the return. For this reason I would hesitate in fully recommending the tour to anyone that asked.

A legal principle called "duty of care" simply makes that impossible as we have a legal responsibility to make sure that all guests are safe and accounted for as rather than just being inconsiderate they keep be injured or lost. It was such a great experience with our bus driver, Michael!!! He was so welcoming, fun, entertaining, informative, and very helpful. He created an experience that made the trip way better. We chose the trip to the Grand Canyon and he also ensured all the safety tips. The view of the Grand Canyon was great and we opted for the skywalk which we saw the view of the canyon even from below from the glass floor. The experience was amazing with such great customer service. 100% highly recommend!!! Worth the money!!!

Poor timing meant we missed the skywalk

We bought the bus tour with lunch skywalk and helicopter ride. We arrived at the canyon site at 11.30 and was allocated our helicopter flight at 1.00 . Because of the queue for the buses to take us to the skywalk with viewpoint and restaurant there was not enough time to get there and back for the helicopter ride so we had to miss out on these 2 elements. We managed to get to the second viewpoint after the helicopter ride and rushed toget back to the tour bus which left at 3pm. The guide stated that he didn’t understand why they continued to sell this package as it was impossible to fit all elements into the time. The driver/guide was excellent and we did enjoy the rest of our day.

Have booked this Grand Canyon with Hoover Dam stop with meals and upgrade for 2 friends visiting from Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately the driver said there is no Hoover Dam stop for the trip for picture taking and there was no meal served except water. That was unacceptable and unexpected.

The canyon is gorgeous. Our complaint was our bus driver who was obnoxious, wouldn’t stop talking about things that had nothing to do with the canyon or area, and made some offensive/racist comments under the guise of ‘being funny.’

We enjoyed our bus tour from Vegas to the West Rim with views of the Hoover dam. The Grand Canyon views. Our guide Dwayne told us what to expect at each stop of the shuttle once we left the bus at the Grand Canyon site. The tix offer for you to get lunch for an extra free and we did. The lunch, provided by the Native American tribe who runs the site, was not very good. (Choice of BBQ pulled pork or chicken, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, biscuit). I recommend that you just bring your own lunch. That of course is out of the hands of the tour company. Overall, a great all day trip.

Overall, very good experience and would definitely recommend. Constructive criticism... The boarding process was a bit inefficient and slow. Positives... Michael is obviously very good at what he does and quite experienced. His humor was refreshing. He was also a safe driver and we never felt unsafe throughout the day. Nothing but positive things to say about Michael. Sites .. not much time spent at Hoover dam, but just long enough to take a few selfies, bathroom break and jump back on the bus. It is obviously very beautiful, but we waited about an hour and a half in line to go on the skywalk, which in my opinion, was not worth the wait. Maybe others disagree. The restaurants isn't wanting any awards, but was decent and no complaints. Thank you, very good day.

We had a great experience on this trip. I received answers to my questions promptly before the trip regarding pick up time and location. The views of the West Rim on the Grand Canyon were amazing! DO book the skywalk experience! It was cool. Wish we had booked the helicopter experience as well. The lunch provided was ok, not great, but we had opportunities to purchase a subway sandwich on a stop going to the GC, so if I had to do it again, I’d book the trip without the lunch added and just buy the sub on the way. We took plenty of snacks so being hungry wasn’t a problem at all. The trip was very informative about the Native American life and history in the region. Duane was an awesome driver and gave us 110% of his time and attention on this trip! He went the extra mile and took us into the Hoover Dam area so that we could stop and take pics from inside instead of just on the bridge. We also added an extra stop to see the Big Horn Sheep up close and personal. It was well worth the money! The only issue I had was that the charging station under my seat was not working so I couldn’t charge my phone. The trip was supposed to be app. 10-10.5 hours, but with our driver and his extra attention, we were gone app. 11.5 hours. Advice: READ ALL OF THE INFO BEFORE BOOKING AND AFTER BOOKING. IF you book <24 hours prior to departure, make sure you follow the directions and contact the travel company to verify that they have you on the list (as directed in the Info) -one couple showed up at 6:30AM to board and weren’t allowed because their names weren’t on the list. They had booked the trip the evening before and did not contact the company.
