Nice city, shame about the transport

The coach trip to Boulder City was fine. We were dropped off and told we would be picked up at 1:30 to 1:45. We were back at the meeting point for 1:30 but there was no sign of the bus. We had to sit around in the heat which was not great for by dad who is 77. We waited and waited and we’re just about to call to find out what was going on when finally the bus arrived at 2:15. Nothing was said to us and everyone then got off the bus for a 25 min stop. We had to then get on the bus to find out what was going on. We had no apology for being late and we then had to continue waiting around.

The best part was seeing all of the history inside the Boulder City Hotel and going to the antique shops. I had a wonderful inexpensive lunch, and it was good.

Small town self-guided tour

We enjoyed walking around Boulder City. We selected the self-guided tour. The City had a simple to use audio tour through our phone. It was a lovely day to explore the city and enjoyed lunch. Hoover Dam tour bus dropped us off and picked us up. If you enjoy exploring a small town on your own, then this tour is for you.

Were to begin.... So this tour was advised as a half a day self guided tour, 5 hours approx. When we boarded the bus the guide did not know what tour we were doing, as the main tour was for the Hoover Dam. He told us he will drop us off in Boulder City and pick us back up in 2 hours!! We stated that we should be there for 5 hours and all he said was i will call someone. We were really angry at this point. Got to Boulder City and again he could not give us a time to when he wlll collect us, all we were told was to be back here at 1pm. Boulder City itself was amazing but we could not enjoy ourselves as were constantly looking at the time Got to our pick up point at 1pm to no bus, the bus eventually turned up at 1.30pm but did not leave till 2pm !! That could have been extra time to explore !! In the end if you are in Vegas and want to explore Boulder City ( which i highly recommend) get an uber !! This company was so unorganised and a waste of money

We are glad you like Boulder City, but sorry about the timing. The entire tour (from Las Vegas and back) is about 4 hours so there are a couple hours to explore on your own there. Sorry about the confusion.

As we had visited the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead previously we chose to spend the morning in Boulder City, and made a great choice. Breakfast at the Boulder City Hotel was excellent, as was the museum. We browsed through the local antique and bric a brac shops and found some presents for the grandkids. Michael, our bus driver was very knowledgeable, helpful and funny, a first class guide.
