A great introduction to LA
Andr_U, Apr 2024
This was a great tour. Paul was booked for 11 but the rest didn’t turn up so it was a private tour for us two. This was great and Paul’s enthusiasm and love of LA really shone through. We had a great time and Paul’s passion really showed through. I would really recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get an understanding of how LA came to be what it is today. The visit to ‘The Last Bookstore’, the Grand Central Market, Angels Flight and the Arts district was great.

Sonya is very knowledgeable of downtown LA. We received a nice mix of history and food recommendations.
You probably don't know La if you haven't done this

We decided to take a tour La La La Land Style . The whole tour very fun and interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable and we saw parts of LA we never knew existed. The highlight of course was the Angel Flight!
Great way to spend 2 hours in Downtown LA

Chris was fantastic! Hearing his stories of legends and notorious people connected to the buildings was super interesting.

Not a lot of interesting details beyond what one could google. Spent a lot of time in The Last Bookstore and Grand Central Market which would be better to do on your own. I was hoping for more history and local color information. But the guide was nice!
Response from Host, Aug 2021
That's unfortunate you feel that way... Paul is one of our most knowledgeable local guides who gives a deep history lesson in downtown LA so I'm not sure where the disconnect was but I'm sorry you didn't enjoy yourself. Not for everyone I guess.
WALKING TOUR

Great time only 4 in group very informative and friendly .Paul really knows his stuff and entertaining as well.
Very informative and fun walk through DTLA!
Anita_O, Jan 2020
As a resident of LA County I like learning more about where I live. This tour fit the bill! Chris, our tour guide, walked us all around DTLA, telling us about various buildings, famous residents, historical tidbits, and various and assorted information about lots of things we came across. Made me realize how much I didn't know about my own city! He had a fairly encyclopedic knowledge of things we asked about that weren't even on the tour! We really enjoyed our walk and plan to do another one from this company sometime in the future.
Great Tour

Loved the tour. Paul our guide was very knowledgeable. We moved at a good pace and no question went unanswered. LA has a lot to offer and this tour will show you. We met at the Spring Arcade Building which is pretty interesting. Be sure to stop at the Last Bookstore. You won't believe this place. We took Angles Flight, saw the Grand Central Market, Olvera St. There was more but you'll have to take the tour!
LA Walking Tour

What a great tour! Our guide, Chris, was fantastic! He was very personable and knowledgeable. We are from the LA area but haven't really explored downtown LA that much. This tour covered a good amount of things; The Last Bookstore (we're going to go back!), Angel's Flight (short, but worth it), Grand Central Market (we have to go back! so much to see and eat), the Broad, Disney Concert Hall, Olvera street, Union Station and much more. It is a great way to discover LA. We finished the day by walking over to Little Jewel of New Orleans for dinner. It was fantastic!
This tour was well worth it...

This tour was well worth it, widening our world of LA. Our amazing guide, Kristina, shared a lot of interesting historical information. Loved the subway experience, the sites, and having a small group tour. Hoping for an expanded version of this tour to visit even more sites, theatres, and museum.
