Basically a ride to Cinque Terra

Our driver was very friendly and prompt. He explained our options for traveling through Cinque Terra. We decided to take the ferry which was the best option for time and scenery. Cinque Terre is very crowded and touristy. I am glad I saw it but I wouldn’t go back.

Emiliano was amazing! He was very patient with our disorganized group and tailored the day for us! The cinque Terre tour was great, we loved seeing the beautiful towns, and the ferry from town to town gave us and incredible view! Very worthwhile tour.

Stefano was a fantastic guide. He picked us up at our villa (no easy task) & drove us up to Cinque Terre. We have a car but are so glad we had a professional driver. The roads are extremely steep & winding. Parking is nearly impossible so it was great to relax & enjoy the day. Instead of going to the main tourist areas, Stefano took us to the less crowded but beautiful town of Porto Venere. There was an open market in the square & cute shops along the alleyway. We caught a ferry to Vernazza, where Stefano had made us a lunch reservation. The restaurant was fantastic & had beautiful views of the water. The seafood & local wine were delicious. We were so glad to have the reservation, as the town was PACKED with tourists. From there we drove to another small town. Here we met the owner of the tour company (the guy in the picture). He was great as well. After a short walk we had views up & down the coast - a great spot for pictures. We found another great shop here as well. Stefano had cold water for us which was welcome. We were tired & it was time to head home. Throughout the drives, Stefano gave us historical & current information that helped us better understand the region. The only minor issue was that we wish we had been advised to bring bathing suits & towels. A swim would have been a fun adventure. Stefano also gave us advice for some of our future activities. On the whole, we felt we saw the best of Cinque Terre with an insiders edge. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an excellent tour, and it was excellent because of our great guide Emiliano. His bubbly personality and tremendous knowledge of Italian history made for an entertaining and informative day.
