Great opportunity to see Capri

We enjoyed our tour, the weather was perfect and our captain was friendly and professional. We saw as much as we could of the white and green grottoes and then he surprised us with the blue grotto as the group elected to swim in the sea instead of boarding a smaller boat, paying the entrance fee and waiting an hour or more. Would recommend.

Valerie is an outstanding guide. She has much knowledge to share about current life in Cinque Terre and about its history. She introduced us to the best local wine and focaccia and gave excellent guidance on navigating each stop. A superb day!

The rating would have been a five star because of our wonderful tour guide and driver, Valerie. On the drive there she provided a wealth of history and knowledge, not only of Cinque Terre but of Lucca as well (where we were picked up). She also stopped at a couple of places on the way for us to enjoy the views. The 4 star is because of the actual sites and should maybe be a 3. The first two towns we visited were lovely, and the views from the water were spectacular. We had some free time to look around and we were also shown some awesome village and water view locations by Valerie. Once we were heading to Monterosso la Mare it was a different story. The ferry line was huge with all the folks headed the same direction. We had to wait a few ferries to finally get one. When we got to Monterosso the cruise ship crowds there were crazy. We had free time to get lunch, look around, etc. All the restaurants were full or if not full you needed a reservation. It was over 1-1/2 hours before we found a take out place that had tables in a square. Not very relaxing or enjoyable. To avoid the frustration for the members of this tour I’d suggest that perhaps add a comment on the tour info to get a reservation before you go, or perhaps you could add that option as part of your tour package. Thanks Valerie!

This is a must do tour! Yes we could have taken the train to Cinque Terre on our own but we would never have experienced as much as we did without the help of out guide Valerie. She was great! She knew all of the spots to stop for a photo on the way, and when we got there she handled all of the arrangements for trains between islands. She also knew many people there and was able to have us sample local wine, lemoncini and focaccia. We had time to explore on our own and Valerie let us know the best places to eat. The only negative was the sea was too rough for a boat ride, but no one can predict Mother Nature. Be aware that there is a lot of walking and much of it uphill but the views make it so worth it. I highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get Valerie you won’t be disappointed!

Andrea, our guide to Cinque Terra was incredible! Her Friendly, warm and engaging personality kept us going on a very hot! Long day. It was fun traveling the coastline by boat followed by train and van. These are small hill towns each unique and worth the visit. I highly recommend this trip with Andrea!

What we saw was of course amazing but how we saw it was equally great- by water and by sea: a must. Traveling from Lucca by bus, the train, then sea and back again was long but so worth it. Kudos to our tour guide Ellie, how she ever directed 2 dz people to all of those connections was simply amazing. Highly recommend this tour and this company!
