Loved the wine tasting. Fabulous setting and very interesting. The wines sampled were delicious (we purchased the local honey - would have taken a bottle of wine but weight restrictions on luggage)

We were traveling with 8 friends and booked this because we had had great experiences with Viator guides. Both guides we had were bad. Elle and Deborah. The bus was very tight and HOT. ELLE TOLD US ITALIAN WORD TRANSLLATION TO ENGLISH OVER AND OVER. VERY LITTLE HISTORY. THIS TOWN IS … it means … over and over. We have been to sienna and wanted our friends to learn the history and culture as we have before. This trip was not good. Deborah could not breathe well while Wally in sienna. No excitement from either one. The winery was not good. I’ll probably try Viator again but can not be happy with these guides or the hot crowded bus

Dear Ms Wheeler, we are really sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the trip. We presume this was due to a misunderstanding as you thought you were booked on a private tour. Elle refered us you was disappointed from the same beginning as you was expecting to be a Private tour only for your party of 10 people. With us you booked for a small group tour (with few more people). We always use air-conditioned buses and you could of tell us to turn up/ adjust the air conditioning. Elle is very vibrant and enthusiastic tour leader and all the rest of the group appreciated it. Deborah also loves her job and like to share curiosity about the history of Siena. About the wine, well, it is always very personal taste. Consider this winery won different awards for Tuscan Doc wines. During the small group tours we sit all together, socialize and enjoy the food and the wine. To be on a private table (which you requested in the winery) is possible only on the private tours, which this wasn’t. Don’t hesitate to request next time a private tour and guides. We have many private experiences too. All the best!

Twe had a remarkable time on this tour. San Gimingnano is a medieval gem and Siena is simply beautiful. The Palagetto winery turned out to be an unexpected highlight. Our tour guide/driver, Tanya, was wonderful and made the day even better.

Disappointing Guide !

The cities themselves were beautiful and we will return. However , our guide was awlful. We never heard her. She did not use a microphone. She was vert shirt when we told her we could not hear her. She rushed us and never even took us inside the beautiful church in Sienna. The wine tasting was a joke. Hurded us in sat us down gave us two sips of wine and a a couple appetizers that were terrible. Then left us. Do not book. Go on your own.
