What To Expect

Start your day trip near the main train station in central Lucerne, where you’ll meet your guide aboard the coach for the drive to Lauterbrunnen. The scenic journey winds below the impressive mountain peaks of the Bernese Oberland en route to your destination in the UNESCO-listed wilderness of Switzerland’s Bernese Alps.

On arrival at Lauterbrunnen, your guide accompanies you on a 100-minute cogwheel train ride to Jungfraujoch, Europe’s highest-altitude railway station sitting 11,333 feet above sea level. Along the way, travel through the breathtaking mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg, situated beneath the famous Eiger North Face.

Disembark at the Top of Europe and head to the Alpine Sensation — a round-tour subway opened to mark the centenary of the Jungfrau Railway. This latest attraction links the Ice Palace and Sphinx Observatory, where you can soak up panoramic views over Aletsch Glacier, Europe's longest glacier. On a clear day, look as far as the snow-capped peaks of France and Italy.

If you wish, purchase a snack or a warm drink at the on-site restaurant (own expense) before the cogwheel train ride to ‘Eigergletscher’, where you will change to the V-Cableway Eiger Express. After approx. 15 minutes you will reach Grindelwald Terminal, where your coach awaits. Then hop aboard your coach for the return drive to central Lucerne where your tour concludes in the evening.

A Wonderful Day in Jungfraujoch. Don’t miss it!!

Our tour guide was Kid. He was informative, knowledgeable, funny and engaging. He made sure that everyone knew where to focus their camera and when. The top of the mountain was closed due to terrible weather, but he changed the itinerary to include free time in beautiful little towns. He made sure that everyone had a wonderful day. If you book this tour, I hope you get Kid.

Museum inside icefield, just amazing. Train and cable car trip is great experience. And last but not the least is Kid (our travel guide) who made our trip very enjoyable and fun. Somebody may call him too pushy, however we ended up with great memorable pictures and he get things done (our group was passing lines, getting good seats at the train, etc.). Thank you Kid, we'll remember you.

An unforgettable tour to Jungfraujoch

For first timers to Switzerland, we are so glad that we picked this tour. It would have been difficult to navigate this by ourselves. We had a perfect weather day to see Jungfraujoch. At the end of April, we had mostly blue skies and could still see plenty of snow. The site is unforgettable! Our tour guide Kid was THE BEST! He made it the highlight of our two-week vacation. He knew all the photo op places from the time we got on the bus until the end of the tour. He took so very good care of us making sure we got to all of the stops on time and saw everything. Definitely a must do

The entire experience was beyond expectations. Kid was our guide and he was amazing with how he made sure we got the most from the trip. The journey to the Top of Europe is long but he made it a fun and entertaining experience. Clearly a top 5 life experience and should not be missed.

Way too rushed. Every time we stopped the guide told us 6 mins here and then it ended up being about 3 or 4 mins. No time to enjoy each little stop. I 100% am glad we went to the top of Europe and would recommend everyone do this when in the area however I think you could go yourself or with a less rushed tour!

Tour guide was excellent! Reserved seats on the trains and navigating between trains would have been tricky without a guide. Beautiful scenery during the bus trip as well and the guide pointed out things during the drive.

This was one of the best days I’ve ever had. Raymond made everything work just like butter it went on so smooth. I felt cared for and like my dad was taking me to the best place ever. What a wonderful day catching the bus was a highlight. The trains were amazing. Top of the mountain was wonderful. I wasn’t cold because I’d layered up and really enjoyed the ICE tunnel. Was worried about safety and slipping down there, but it was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the gondola ride down the guide. Raymond was so informative and hilarious and kept a good watch on all his flock. We never seem to wait for anything, it was very smooth, the way that he ran the day .

Our experience was amazing all around! It was roughly a two hour drive to where we were headed, but our guide made it seem so fast! Telling us where all the good views were and when they were coming up, we never missed a photo opportunity or an opportunity to just gawk at the beauty! Then when we got to the top, he took us to all the amazing spots and captured the moments for us with our cameras. Because we followed him, we missed the crazy lunch rushes. It was fabulously timed out and very well thought out. Our ride back was quick and quiet since it was dark and we were tired. Even our bus driver was fantastic! I normally get car sick on buses but not once did I on this trip. He was very accustomed to the roads and it showed in his driving skill!
