PAID FOR 4:30am didn’t get on until 5:30AM cheaper booking option

Got picked up at 3:30am but did not go on the hot air balloon until 5:30. There is a cheaper option for 5:30am, this booking was for the 4:30am sunrise ballon ride…we did not catch the sunrise. Other than the timing and waiting around since 3:30 am the experience was worth it! We were one of the last balloons in the air. All the other companies had the balloons setup and ready to go when the people arrived. Our ballon wasn’t even there yet and still had to be setup.

A must do, beautiful and exciting activity but illogically high price on Viator

It was a great, fun & exciting activity. The duration was quite adequate. I got to the beautiful sunrise and took great photos. The organizers were quite friendly, especially Abul. I'm taking away one star just because I got scammed price-wise. I checked with others in the group who bought it directly from the company, it cost then around $13. But I paid $60. I am okay with paying extra for the online convenience but paying 5 times the actual cost is a scam

Everything was taken care of by the team responsible for this ride. Transfer from the hotel to the place where the balloons took of from (with a coss in river by boat), safe ride in the baloon, with many explanations of some historic facts of the monuments we were seeing - and all on time. Very grateful for the experience.

Super fun experience. Serene and magical. Highly recommend, especially in Luxor. I did in Las Vegas and this was by far much better! We went up to 2500 ft and the views were amazing!

As stated in other reviews, they say the pick-up time is 3:30 AM before you order. Shortly after I ordered they said the pick-up time was changed to 4:30 AM. Then they said it was moved to 5:30 AM. I belive they are doing this to move people to the cheaper option for them to have people on the second flight. After being quite strict about moving the pick-up time for two hours they said it was a mistake, and I was moved back to 4:30 AM. So be careful of that. Otherwise the pick-up and trip back to the hotel worked fine.

The balloon ride in Luxor is a must do!! That experience is a 5 out of 5! Communication was 3/5. We had settled on a pick up time for 530am with the understanding that there would be little waiting around. But eight hours before our pickup was rescheduled to 4:10am with the explanation being there was going to be bad weather. We did see later that the 7:30 balloons did lift off no problem. We would have preferred the extra sleep time

We had an amazing time. We've never had a hot air balloon ride before and were a bit apprehensive about what it would be like, but we needn't have been. From getting picked up from our hotel on the east bank to getting in the balloon on the West Bank was really slick, and the flight itself was such an amazing experience. We were offered either a 0400 pick up or a 0530 one and went for the latter start as we didn't want to have to get our children up too early - it worked out perfectly and we were back at the hotel just after 0800 in time for breakfast.

Our hot air balloon ride was fantastic! They are really good at their jobs. They were always on time, looked after us well, and made sure we were safe. The view from up there was amazing! We loved seeing everything from above and feeling the warmth of the balloon. The crew took good care of us and made sure we had fun while staying safe. We had a great time and would tell anyone to try it!

Organization and communication was great. Pick up and drop off in hotel. We have no worry. I recommend it.

Mini van picked up us in our hotel, we head to the river, on the boat. On the other side of river to waited for us mini van, which brought us to the balloon. Views from the balloon was amazing. Balloon rotated all time, so we saw area from all angles.

We had a really lovely time. We were collected in a mini bus of 12 passengers, taken to the boats the cross the Nile with other bus loads of tourists. After crossing we again were bussed to the location. Approximately 25 balloons full with 32 passengers each took off. It was a magnificent sight. The winds blew us back across to the East bank again and we got to see the whole of Luxor. We landed in a field of sugar cane. The workers were excellent and so was our pilot. Don’t forget to put money in the pot for the workers and to tip the pilot. Awesome experience for all. Very smoothly run event. The ride home was very well organised and we were all done inside 3 hours!

Brilliantly cheerful team that ensured that everyone was energized and excited at 5am in the morning. Our captain Ali seemed experienced and fun loving as he steered us above the West Bank of Luxor to captivating views of Hatshepsut temple as well as the village houses. My only niggling issue was with the number of people that they attempted to fit in the bus used for the pick-up as well as the balloon itself (30ish overall with 3-4 in each basket with minimal space to move).

Overall a very enjoyable experience. Guides were cheerful and spoke English well. The ride was very smooth, as was the landing. We never felt unsafe. My biggest gripe would be that we took off well after sunrise. The sun was well and truly up and while views were spectacular it would have been nice to be able to capture the actual sunrise as indicated. Meeting points and group management was a bit haphazard, it felt a bit disorganised in the start before we were underway. I felt we didn't get as much time in the air as others but that might just come down to different cost brackets or different companies. I recommend this tour and would do it again (preferably at actual sunrise).

Score should be 3,5. Excellent duration, 1h:10 min and very accurate in the schedule, very professional. But the flight was static, we went up, staued there, travelled very little, always facing the same side (unluckily for us, the east) from our basket side, so very poor expereince. Compared to Cappadocia Turkey, i would not recommend the Luxor flights

Everything perfectly organized. We were taken care of from the beginning to the end. The balloon ride with Captain Ali was simply amazing. He is a professional captain, who made us feel safe and took the time to explain us what we were seeing from above with always a big smile on his face. Very-very smooth landing. Even the timing to see the sunrise was just perfect. Great team!!!
