My tour guide Stephen was on time. A very pleasant and fun person. I got in his vehicle, and upon asking if there were more guests to join us, his reply was a very favorable one. It was just going to be him and I all day. It would have been myself and my friend, but she did not make it, or else it would have been just 2 of us and Stephen. He ran through the itinerary and the approximate times and then we were off. He was very informative and knowledgeable. Very soft spoken individual. If you asked a question and he didn't have the answer (which was never the case) he would not make one up. We got to the Giraffe Center a bit early, but so happy that we did as we were the first ones there. We got videos and photos, uninterrupted by other patrons. This was the beauty and truth in saying "the early bird catches the most worms" Stephen took MAJORITY of my photos and videos. I used my iPhone mostly as my camera was too cumbersome. This stop was very, very informative and I learned a great deal as I wasn't aware of some of the things I was told. They are a wonderful and friendly people here at the center. He seemed to enjoy every moment of doing so and definitely didn't mind. From there we went on to the elephant orphanage. He didn't come in with me as they were still regulating the amount of visitors due the COVID pandemic. He waited in his van, but came to check on me and to see how things were going. This is a great excursion for kids. I would say for 5 and up. The younger kids tend to want to run around and play and if they are restricted, cry. You also have to be sort of quiet for the animals, so crying kids or constant talkative adults doesn't help much. I found him after, where we then went to garb some lunch at this cute and cozy place and the food and tea was delicious. From there we went on to the Kazuri beads. He came in with me but left so that they could give me the tour and he waited outside. It was very interesting and I was happy to know and hear from them that I was their VERY FIRST CUSTOMER since they opened their doors for business. I definitely purchased a couple of pieces. The owner Peter and his staff were so humble and filled with gratitude. We them moved on to our final stop, Bomas of Kenya. Here Stephen took all my photos and we walked the grounds where he showed and explained to me how they lived years ago. He was very patient and answered every and all questions. He went above and beyond for me. The final act from Stephen, is when he decided to take me to the grocery store in order for me to buy the ingredients for a special tea that I had at lunch earlier. That topped it off for me. So, thank you Stephen. I hope and pray that things will pick up as it were before COVID and thank you so very much for your hospitality and kindness. Definitely recommend this tour and make sure you ask for Stephen!

Great experience!
Angela_S, Apr 2024
An interesting and worthwhile trip and Titus our guide was punctual, knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend.
Wonderful experience...
wkchin, Mar 2024
Wonderful experience feeding the giraffes and seeing both the giraffes and elephants up close. Good commentary on the refuges' purpose and background. The bead center was OK essentially a tourist trap and shopping experience. Bomas of Kenya was a great show. The school children got really involved especially during the intermission when they ran to the stage and and danced and sang to Kenyan pop for 10 minutes. Coreography of the dances was really well done and enjoyed the acrobatics show at the end.
Amazing day full of attractions!
Julia_B, Mar 2024
The Griraffe Center was amazing (we were there shortly after opening, so that was perfect as there were almost no people!). Then we were in the Elephant Orphanage for 1h - the little rhyno was super cute! The beads factory is also very pleasant and then in the Bomas you'll experience 1.5h of traditional dances starting at 14.30. Overall the trip was very well organised, just have in mind that there are quite long breakes between the attractions - if you start giraffes at 9.00 then the orphanage opens at 11.00, so you will have a stop in between in a souvenir store (quite good one). The guide was very professional and friendly.
A MUST!

The entire day was a complete delight! Our guide, Stephen Mutuku, was beyond incredible. So friendly, so knowledgeable, and even giving us tips and tricks so we can get the best view of everything. The entire day from start to finish was not only memorable and enlightening, it was filled with purpose.
Definitely worth it!

The giraffes & elephants of course were my favorite to see! The bead factory offered lots of beautiful jewelry and the ladies are very informative of the bead making process throughout the tour! The Bomas of Kenya center offered a window into the history and traditions of Kenya regions. Oh and of course our driver was most courteous!
Close up with Giraffes, Elephants great mixture of nature and culture and great food!
Susan_O, Jan 2024
Giraffes feeding, Elephant Orphanage and hearing how the carers look after the Elephants rearing them until they can be phased back into living in the wild. Excellent choice made by the guide for lunch - Courtyard Cafe, lovely choice of food, freshly cooked before your eyes and lovely surroundings. Bead factory was interesting and a great employment initiative to help local women all topped off with an hour and a half of entertainment- traditional Kenyan dance!
Great day with and lot we could see
Aniko_C, Jan 2024
Had a great day! Titus was a great driver and we received great service! Thank you Titus 😄 The only thing that could be better is the communication regarding the entrance ticket to the national park. This has to be done by every personal themself through ecitizen.
Everything you need in ONE adventure!
Madelyn_M, Nov 2023
This excursion covered all the bases!!! Feed a giraffe - CHECK! Pet a baby elephant - CHECK! Visit the bead factory and spend way too much money in their store - CHECK! CHECK! Learn about the tribes of Kenya and dance like a native - CHECK! Eat delicious Kenyan food - CHECK! This really is a great excursion and if you only have a short time in Nairobi or just want to see all the things, this is a perfect one to do. Our guide, Wellington, was fabulous. He communicated with us the night before, picked us up on time, and was a guide, host, and Sensei for the day. If this was all we did during out trip to Kenya, we would have been completely satisfied. BE AWARE: You need to log into e-citizen and purchase tickets to the National Park or bring $45 US to pay for entrance into the National Park. This is not included in the cost of the excursion. Read the "what's included" and "what's not included" section of the trip to double check.
Mixed experience
Allison_W, Nov 2023
I have to write a mixed review for this tour. The experiences themselves (giraffes, elephant nursery, bomas) were fantastic. The itinerary says you will go to Kazuri bead factory, but we were taken to a different one instead (Kobe Tough). It was nice but we had researched Kazuri and were looking forward to that. The place we were taken for lunch was not great. Service was very slow and the food was just mediocre. Thankfully it was very inexpensive. Our driver was friendly but not talkative and mainly acted as a driver only, not a tour guide. I can't remember his name but it wasn't the Stephen that other reviewers rave about. Overall this tour was ok, but for the price we paid I expected a little bit more.
All attractions are great
petmoon26, Nov 2023
The tour was exactly as described in the ad. The attractions listed were all great and would recommend for those looking for a full day tour in Nairobi. The guide, Titus, was great and very professional.
Disappointing tour, disappointing guide
Vicky_B, Oct 2023
The tour ended up costing me double what I originally understood the cost to be, the guide wasn't friendly and didn't give information (he really acted as a driver, not a guide), and I only got to the elephant center half-way through the one hour program.
Wonderful Experience
Margaret_F, Sep 2023
Wonderful interaction with the giraffes and elephants. The dancing and learning about the different tribes was amazing. I highly recommend this tour.
Giraffe, Elephants are a must!
Veronica_M, Sep 2023
Giraffe Centre - Our guide picked us up early and we were the first at the Centre! We had uninterrupted time with the giraffes because we beat the crowds. Such a fun experience! Elephants - CAUTION: We booked this experience 2 months in advance. Prior to booking this experience I had booked our own elephant tickets directly with Sheldrick. When I booked this I forgot to cancel the tickets I had reserved directly with Sheldrick. It was a good thing I forgot because 12 hours before we were to be picked up we got a message from the tour company that the tickets were sold out and we could not visit. Luckily, we were able to use the tickets I reserved. Between the giraffe and the elephants we stopped at a center to buy various pieces of Kenyan art. Our guide told us not to pay full price and to barter. When we got to the elephant sanctuary our guide gave us the tip that there is no line so we can just go ahead. This was a great tip because we went straight to the front! It was a very great experience watching the baby elephants and rhino. Beads - Skip if you can. The woman at the beads center takes you through each phase in about 15-20 seconds and ultimately shuffles you into their souvenir shop to buy the beads. We probably weren’t there more than 30 minutes. Lunch - Good Kenyan food with another large shop to buy souvenirs. The women follow you around with a basket so it’s a bit awkward. Bombs - Cool cultural center to see how the various tribes live/lived. They do several tribal dances. We were pretty jet lagged so it felt a little long. We left early.
Perfect Day Trip in Nairobi

The whole day was great. We loved the Giraffe Center and the Elephant Orphanage. Our driver Simon was wonderful.
Learning where they came...
Daysha_P, Aug 2023
Learning where they came from and why they are orphans. See the elephant feed and play in the dirt and the baby rhino
Energizing and sweet
Debra_G, Aug 2023
The baby rhino and elephants were adorable. And feeding the giraffes was very fun. The dancers at Bomas were fabulous. You can dance if you want!
Ticket Scam
Carol_A, Jul 2023
They oversold the tickets for the elephant orphanage. Two of us were not allowed to enter and we had to wait while another person was able to attend. Very disappointing.
Amazing cultural tour
Neyka_L, Jul 2023
Titus was our great guide for the tour. I have the opportunity to visut the Giraffe Center to feed and watch face to face amazing giraffes, also the Elephant Orphanage was a beatitud experience. I have not only saw babies elephants but also a baby rhino. Last but not least both Beads Center and Bomas of Kenya were a great opportunity to see beautiful jewellery created by amazing women and watch and enjoy traditional dances.
Great all day adventure
Jon_C, Jul 2023
We had a great experience all day. Stephen was our guide and you couldn't have asked for a better one. He know when and where we should be at each destination to get the best views and most hands-on experience. I'd highly recommend each of these stops to be able to fully appreciate and experience Kenya.
Great intro to Kenya
Danielle_G, Jun 2023
Great tour with the driver Titus. It's perfect for your first time in Kenya if you want to see the animals. If you are going on a safari you may not necessarily want to do this but it is cool to feed giraffes and touch the elephants. The beads center was more interesting than you'd expect and the bomas we're touristy but definitely entertaining!
