Poor experience, poor communication

Met at airport by driver who could not speak english. He was very agitated by the amount of luggage we had (4 pieces of luggage). Luggage would not fit in the car provided. No where in initial ad on viator indicates a luggage limit. The fine print says 4 pieces (2 checked and 2 carry on). No way that would fit in the car. Driver got someone on the line who, through a translator, was telling us it was our fault and they could get in trouble. Had the impression they were trying to get us to agree to a different car. Ultimately had to call our hotel and have them track us to ensure they took us to our hotel. Hotel was very good and met us with security at the door. Driver did ultimately get us to the hotel, but a very unpleasant and sketchy feeling the whole way. As an aside, we were not trying to save money and would have happily told them our luggage amounts and paid for whatever the right size car was. Very bad communication from the company.

Very Flexible Operator

This operator was very flexible. Our flight came in early and requested if I can be picked up early. After few minutes, he called me back that he can pick me up. This operator was so flexible! Again, because I changed my plan, I have to leave Madrid 6 hours before my requested pick up time. He did picked me again, with same driver that so respectful, very courteous and very personable. Folks, I highly recommend this operator. He knows business and know how to make his customer happy. Great job!

5 star service! JuanCarlos was amazing. I made him aware that my flight was delayed as soon as I landed and he assured me that he was aware of my flight delay and will wait for me at the airport. He was kind and professional. He told us the history and pointed wonderful monuments on our way to the hotel We asked for recommendations on places to eat and they did not disappoint. My husband and I had 3 luggage and the driver said he could not take us, he did not even try or call for a bigger car, Viator refused to refund us, my advise don’t pre paid with Viator, I was a customer not anymore

Never again will l use Viator

I would never use this company if l travelled to Madrid again. They did not turn up at the pickup address we waited 20 minutes and then had to get a Taxi which had a standard charge to the Airport cheaper than the unreliable transfer. This made us late for our flt so we had to wait 5 hours for another flt one of our bags went on the first flt and we are waiting for the Airline to find my bag this is all because the transfer did not show up l have complained to Viator and they basically have the company fulfilled there obligation and we are lying. Never again will we use Viator.

A professional operation

Booked a car to take us from the airport to our hotel. There was some miscommunication and the car was not there when we arrived. Called Fran when we realized the driver was not there to greet us. Fran handled the situation professionally. After a series of calls by Fran, a different driver was identified and brought us safely to our destination. There was about 1 1/2 hour delay but all turned out well. Mistakes happen and I appreciate that there was no finger pointing and a solution was found. Truly professionally handled
