Amazing experience with fantastic guide!!

We had the best experience going to Teotihuacán with Martín - we learned a lot about the history of the site as well as his own insights into Mexico City and the rest of the country. Everything went very smoothly! P.S. we hope he wears shorts and not jeans next time!! 😄

Our tour guy Andrew was really nice person. But I don't think he is good for tour guide. First he was late. I understand for traffic and it was totally OK with us but if he is professional tour guide, he should check traffic before so he can prepare. Then he is not late for 30min. Second, except me, my folks don't speak English so all I asked is take group photo. He did good for that but while we were walking together, he was on the phone with someone for long time. He said he had situation with company but since we are paying this company, he should focus on us. Last, even we didn't ask him to explain about pyramids, his personality isn't fit for tour guide. Too shy.

Hi Eun! Thanks for your important review! It's important to say that we sent information before the tour about the variable traffic in mexico city. Although we start our way to tourists with enough time sometimes during that time the traffic can be worst. Sorry about Andrews call, we was dealing an important issue with him at the last part of your tour. Andrew said us about he tried to explain but your interest was in taking photos and not in the history, even you skip the museum. We appreciate a lot this review! hugs from mexico!

Great summary of teotihuacan

It was good to start early in the morning as it got too hot by 11am. Ruben was friendly and knowledgeable on the history and archaeology of the area. He allowed us to keep to a comfortable pace and was thoughtful with regards to excessive walking. This is a good and concise tour if you want to maximise your time in Mexico City.

Don’t hesitate. It is worth it!

I came down to Mexico City during my spring break and i knew going to Teotihuacán was at the top of my list. It was just a matter of planning it out. My good friend was here for work and I wanted to see if they would join and on the last full day here found out they could not join. Well, time to go solo. No regrets! I have done the large tours elsewhere and you can feel like you are just there. This was personalized just for me. I appreciated the time and attention to detail and professionalism. I also enjoyed the casual conversation that was had. I felt like I made friends today while learning more about some amazing history that I can share with my students. So sad that Spring Break has to end.

Good private tour

Had a very nice private tour with our guide, Ruben, there were just two of us with him. Pick up at our hotel was prompt and easy. Ruben was very knowledgeable and excited to answer our questions. I also liked the tour was more of a 1/2 day tour so it wasn’t as long as some other tours out there.

We had such a fun day! It was great to ride in a comfortable van, just for our family. Our guide, Yorbi, was really engaging to talk with. He was very knowledgeable about the former inhabitants of this amazing city! It was nice to have door to door pick up in Mexico City.

Our tour guide, Reuben, was simply fantastic. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the city’s culture and history. Reuben is a people person and really enjoys his job and why not he’s very good at it. He answered all our questions in English with patience and added interesting anecdotes that brought the tour to life. The tour was well-organized, and even brought water and snacks for us. We had a wonderful ride to, visit and tour of and ride back. Both the driver Andres and our guide Jorges were very engaging and well versed in the history to tell the story.

Very worthwhile to learn about a different and people and area. A must! Ruben was great!

I had read a little in preparation for this trip, but I still wasn’t prepared for the dramatic and important history we saw by touring the little museum and pyramids. Our guide, Ruben, was very knowledgeable about the history, place and daily and religious practices if the Teotihuacans. He really knew his stuff! .

Go to learn...not learn the hard way

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you can show up in Mexico City for the first time and successfully navigate everything - be it good or bad - that awaits, with no experience. Take that option if you want to learn the hard way. Go with these guys if you just want to learn, and have a positive experience. Reliable, personable, honest, and knowledgeable, we ended up booking multiple tours with them after Teotihuacan. Do yourself a favor, and do the same!!

Worst Tour Ever! Don’t go with these clowns.

Definitely the worst tour I have ever been a part of. The driver and guide drove a personal car (not a van or SUV) and were completely unprofessional. Every other guide at the ruins was certified and had a badge, ours was as not. Our guide was very friendly, but not knowledgeable at all about the ruins. The driver was late to pick us up from the ruins and needed up spending way too much time I. The car because they were late. The driver even conducted another tour (we were told we had a private tour but it was not) while we were at the ruins and was busy doing that tour so he was late to take us back to Mexico City. This whole thing was a joke and I will be asking for my money back. The vehicle was not safe, was incredibly cramped, and the driver drove so slowly we were passed by EVERY other vehicle. I can explain how disappointed we were with the guide, the driver, the vehicle, the tour, and the explanations of the site. We learned more walking around the anthropology museum than we did on our tour with a private guide. These people should not be allowed to conduct tours. What a waste of time and money.

Hi Brian! thanks for your review. Well everything you write is because you didn't read about the extra information of this tour: 1. It says we do the private transport in cars: sedan or for 6 people. In any part of this tour it says we will use a SUV or another expensive big vehicles. You were only 4 and you had enough space in our avanza. This is not a personal vehicle. We have this toyota avanza for our tours. 2. It says we are not certified guides. We are local guides with university studies. 3. This is a private tour with private transport of 5.5 hours. In high seasons we don't have flexible times because we have schedules. So you were at your hotel at the time it supossed you will be. We cannot control the traffic. We cannot drive over 100 km/h like the other vehicles was over 120 km/h. Maybe inside the vehicle you feel slower but it is not. SINCE THE BEGINNING YOU HAVE A BAD BEHAVIOR WITH US. In our case we dont have worst tourists. Warm regards from Mexico.

Great to have a private tour. We were able to go in the afternoon which fit our schedule. Ruben, our guide was accommodating in dropping and picking us up to avoid long walks. He was informative and I feel like we saw all the important sights and the museum.
