The tour was flawless and the guide and driver friendly and accommodating. The guide was very knowledgeable about everything we saw and was able to answer all the questions we threw at him. At one guide to two travelers ratio, it was a wonderful personalized experience.

Mixed feelings
Hayley_R, Apr 2024
There were pros and cons to this tour. Firstly, our tour guide Eloy was highly knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful, detailed tour of Teotihuacán that we thoroughly enjoyed. This was absolutely the highlight and we were very happy with this. The bike tour afterwards was okay, however mostly cycled the perimeter of the ruins (with limited views) and the condition of our bikes averaged from good to okay. The time at the artisan market was quite long and touristy as expected, while we had to miss another temple due to time constraints. The included 3-course lunch was very substantial (with dietary options) but the restaurant had multiple rounds of performers who each asked for tips afterwards. There was no air conditioning on the return journey which was disappointing for the price paid. We already told visiting friends to skip the bike ride and choose another company for the price point. We’re still glad we visited Teotihuacán and had an excellent tour of the site itself, which we’re grateful for.
Best way to experience Teotihuacán
Jeremy_J, Apr 2024
We did the Teotihuacán tour on Christmas Eve and it was the perfect time for it. There were only 4 of us on the tour so it felt like a private tour! We got picked up right on time from our hotel in Mexico City and dropped off at the office just outside Teotihuacán. Our tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. We were given little backpacks to keep and water for the day. We spent a couple of hours exploring the pyramids of the sun & moon and learning about the amazing history. Our tour guide answered all of our questions and shared so many fantastic facts and images with us. After our walking tour, we returned to the office to pick up our bikes and rode around the outside of the ruins, stopping at a cave (which we got to go inside of), had a mezcal/tequila tasting and looked at some local products. The bike ride itself is very easy - mostly flat, hardly any cars on the road. It’s a surreal experience to cycle through a small town in Mexico, enjoying the view. The day ended with a 3 course lunch - as well as a lovely surprise of cake for our birthday and a song from the mariachi band! Definitely a highlight of our time in Mexico City!
The highlight of our Mexico City trip! Thank you Eloy!
Tammy_H, Mar 2024
This was the highlight of our Mexico City trip! Eloy was an excellent tour guide who taught us so much, and we are so grateful that he was happy to answer all of our questions. We are a family of 4 with kids ages 10&12 with us, and Eloy was so nice to them too. We enjoyed the history of the pyramids, the stop with the vendor Juan, who showed us the natural pigment methods (we bought a little turtle flute from him), and we LOVED the cave tour. We were grateful for the hard hats as we did bump our heads a couple of times but were fine because of the helmets. We loved it! Especially our youngest, who loved exploring the smaller caves, too. Eloy was patient with our group; the other attendees wanted to take a little more time, and it was a lot of fun.! We enjoyed learning about the agave at the little shop. The drinks were good, and my daughter found a little woven backpack she was excited to buy. Lunch was a great way to try something new, and the servers were very nice and helpful (even understanding my wheat allergy [trigo]). The driver was nice and we felt safe. There was one back seat missing a seatbelt but luckily we only had 6 people in our group so we didn’t need the 7th seat. We were grateful to start early, it got very hot later in the day and the line to enter the pyramids area was very long, whereas ours was short and easy early in the morning. Thank you Eloy for such a wonderful day! I didn’t do my peso calculation right and wish I would have tipped you more. For other travelers, it can get hot so long pants were good, plus hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. I wished I had brought a loose long sleeve open front shirt too to cover my arms more (they did include that in their instructions the day before, so my fault). I’d recommend an extra 1000-1500 pesos for a family depending on how much you want to shop and tip. All in all I HIGHLY recommend this tour! I wish we could book Eloy for more tours!
False advertising.
Mayva_D, Mar 2024
We were really excited about this tour, but were disappointed by the quality of the tour guide and the communication around drop off / pick up. The guide put the bare minimum effort into explaining this incredible site. We received an email communication confirming the details of our tour, including pick up location. We were charged for the tour, but then less than 24 hours before the tour we received phone call asking us to change our pick up location to a point 40 minutes away. This was a huge inconvenience, and resulted in adding a couple of expensive Uber rides. Buyer beware!
Response from Host, Mar 2024
We understand your concerns and regret any inconvenience you may have experienced. It's essential to emphasize that despite communication challenges, we proceeded with the service as planned, even adapting to circumstances by agreeing on a new meeting point. We took this extra step without imposing additional charges, reflecting our commitment to customer satisfaction and our stance against abusive practices that seek unagreed advantages. It's important to remember that this tour is a group activity involving several participants. Our goal is to ensure a positive experience for everyone, which requires sticking to predetermined schedules and locations to not detract from the group's overall experience. The decision to accept the meeting point, albeit further than expected, was made with the understanding that this was the fairest approach for all participants. We value all perspectives and diligently work to balance individual needs with the well-being of the group as a whole.

Luiz was our guide always ready to listen and answer any questions and Giovani was our driver: the nicest and most accommodating person you would want in your group
Well worth the time and the money.
DM_S, Mar 2024
Visiting the pyramids was astounding. The scale of the place is unbelievable. The driver and the guide were excellent and the trip to the obsidian workshop was great. Nice to shop with locals selling their own artworks. The cave is exceptional, showing the knowledge of archeoastronomy that the ancients possessed.
Small group tour with a personal touch
Jennifer_W, Mar 2024
Highly recommend this tour! There were only 4 of us: myself, my husband and toddler- and a new friend we got to know on the tour. We were driven out in a private car and enjoyed talking with Angeles on the way. Jose Luis had an interesting mix of history and indigenous myths that I loved hearing about throughout the walking tour. We then got on bikes - they even had a toddler chair and tiny helmet for our daughter. We biked to caves and an artisan obsidian shop, with the tour culminating at a restaurant that we really enjoyed. Would I take a toddler on this again? Probably not. It’s a long day in the hot sun. I saw one other toddler at the pyramids and he was also scream-crying. Just a tough excursion for small children in general- no reflection on this tour company. They were patient and accommodating in every way. Oh - we also heard stellar reviews of the hot air balloon tour that this company runs…on our list for next time.
Magical Mystery Tour - Mexican Style
Daniel_T, Mar 2024
Seeing the Temple of the Sun from the west. Awe inspiring. Pick was easy and on time. The whole trip went like clockwork. There was only one commercial stop at an obsidian makers shop but all the products were locally made. Guides, drivers and staff were all great. Only one thing, that is not a criticism, you can ride a bike or the van to the cave, store and lunch. We chose the van because we didn’t want to be in the sun anymore (if you aren’t used to the hot Mexican sun, bring an umbrella) but you ride in the van at the same speed as the bikes, so if you are up to it, ride the bike. Meal is a prix fixe; choice of two soups, choice of three chicken or veggie dishes and a small desert. Food was tasty.
A great experience at the pyramids.
Elaine_A, Mar 2024
I was picked up at the hotel. I met the guide at a location just outside the pyramids. The driver and guide were wonderful. The guide, Luis, was flexible and focused on what interested us. He was extremely knowledgeable and went at our pace. I thought that the experience was terrific.
No enthusiasm. Minimal effort.
Mitchell_K, Jan 2024
Seeing the pyramids and the remains of this ancient city was the best part. The driver did not introduce himself, nor did he tell us what to expect for the day or even how long the drive would take. Never asked the guests to introduce each other. Our guide at Teotijuaca did not introduce himself or give us an agenda. He gave us minimal information during the visit and answered questions when asked, but never made sure that everyone could hear. When we saw other guided groups we saw enthusiasm and engagement with the group. Not with ours. This is our first Viator excursion Nd it might be our last.
Response from Host, Jan 2024
We greatly appreciate your feedback regarding your recent experience with us. We're sorry to hear that your tour did not meet your expectations in terms of enthusiasm and engagement. It's important to note that our tour includes not only the exploration of the ancient pyramids but also visits to various other fascinating sites, such as the mural paintings, the cave, and a delightful lunch. We do our best to provide a comprehensive experience that showcases the rich history and culture of the region. We also want to mention that we typically send out detailed information about the tour itinerary via WhatsApp a day prior to the tour to ensure that all participants are well-informed and prepared. We apologize if you felt that the information was insufficient or if there were any communication gaps. We understand that the engagement and enthusiasm of our guides play a significant role in enhancing the overall experience, and we will take your feedback seriously to improve in this aspect. We genuinely hope that you would consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with a more complete and enjoyable experience on your next Viator adventure. Your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us, and we are committed to making your future visits memorable.
A tour of history and culture
Cory_A, Dec 2023
The tour guide was excellent and informative, capable and willing to answer any questions the group.had. in addition to the tour of the pyramids we also went underground to caves as well as to an obsidian workshop. Very informative and interesting trip that does take a majority of your day, but leaves your evening open to explore and have a nice dinner/drinks. Highly recommended!
Unique and fun way to see Teotihuacan
Robert_H, Dec 2023
This was one of the best tours I have taken anywhere in the world. Ramon was a fantastic guide. It was a unique way to see the pyramids, arriving by bike, touring the monuments, and then bicycling around the perimeter of the archaeological park. We also stopped at some sites that aren't part of the normal tours where you could see other unique parts of Teotihuacan. Amazing experience overall.
Great team!
Roque_A, Nov 2023
Very well organized. The tour guide was kind and knowledgeable and the driver was very nice too and attentive. I recommend the bike tour, riding around town was cool and the views from the pyramids from afar was great. The buffet was delicious. I will come back to bring my wife next time.

Royal treatment in the city of the gods
Rosie_C, Nov 2023
Fantastic tour. Our guide Eloy was knowledgeable and passionate about mesoamerican history, which made the experience far more interesting and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
See the real deal
David_S, Nov 2023
The Feathered Serpent Pyramid was a real highlight, but the whole area was fascinating. Our guide Ramon is a native of the town Teotihuacán born and raised, he knew everyone and was thorough with the tour. The bikes were in good shape and the included meal was better than expected. I would recommend this trip. I studied up on the area deeply in advance so I could understand the history and phenomena of the area.
Fantastic Tour
Nicholas_Z, Nov 2023
Eloy was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever experienced. Knowledgeable, approachable and interesting to talk to. The tour was fantastic and Teotihuacan itself is breathtaking. Office staff and the driver were friendly and the whole thing had a community feel to it. The bike tour was fun and the tour group wasn’t too large which made it a more intimate experience and we got to befriend the others on the tour. There were a lot of options for Teotihuacan excursions and we are very glad we went with this company.

This business is a local family - professional, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. Everything worked well during the day. Our guide, Ramon, shared so much history and local culture. The day was very enriching. I highly recommend this tour.
Fascinating look at the pyramids
Roxanne_F, Oct 2023
The pyramids were the best part. The cave was somewhat interesting. Luckily the company provided helmets as the cave ceiling was often quite low. The co-op mini-tour was also interesting, but I don't like to be pushed to buy stuff. I especially didn't like the guide's comment to the effect that the husbands should be the ones buying jewelry for their wives. Maybe I want to buy some jewelry for my husband. The final meal was very good. I was glad for the vegan options
Knowledgeable and well-timed
Aletha_D, Oct 2023
Eloy was THE BEST tour guide I’ve had in awhile. He knew what to share, when, but wasn’t thrown by questions.
