What To Expect

Meet and greet the tour guide and group near the main station in central Munich. There will be a brief introduction to Munich before beginning your ride around the capital city of Bavaria and one of the most popular destinations in Germany.

Because there is so much to see in Munich, this tour takes advantage of the many old pedestrianized medieval streets the city offers. With frequent stops to learn about the sites and to take pictures, it all makes for a most enjoyable way to explore this fascinating place.

Cycling in Munich accounts for 17 percent of all traffic. In fact, Munich named itself Germany's Radlhauptstadt, or bicycle capital, in the summer of 2010. Around 80 percent of its population owns a bicycle.

Ride through Königsplatz, a square built in the style of European neo-classicism in the 19th century and a center of cultural life in Munich. There’s also the large Odeonsplatz square and Marienplatz, the city’s main square since 1158.

Also, ride along Englischer Garten, Europe's largest city park and stop at the Chinese Tower beer garden (Chinesischer Turm) for a break and beverage.

Throughout the tour, the guide will provide ample information about Munich’s past and present — and maybe even offer some insight into where the city is headed in the future. It’s a great introduction to the city of Munich and all that it offers its visitors and residents alike. Your tour ends back in central Munich.

What a wonderful way to experience and learn about numerous sites in central Munich. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and kept track of our group (9) through the entire ride. The stop at the Chinese Tower Biergarten in the English Gardens was one of numerous highlights. If you are comfortable cycling, I highly recommend,,end this tour. Only one short hill to navigate; otherwise flat. Central !unich is very bike friendly.

Too many pushy dudes

Ian was our guide and he was wonderful! My problem was with the other members of the group period they were noisy and unruly and pushy period way too many people on this tour period there were 15 I think that a Max of 8 should be accepted..

A great way to see Munich!

Really good experience and much less difficult biking than I expected in a large busy city. For me, the English Garden, and especially the river surfers were the highlights. (If I were to suggest any change, it would be that the clients should have been encouraged to introduce themselves, especially in such a small group of seven).

The tour was good and the guide was engaging and informative. However, it definitely wasn’t a small group tour. There were at least 20 of us on the tour and this made it difficult at times especially when crossing roads and in busy areas and we’re not sure it was entirely safe in such a big group and definitely not as described!!

That day you joined there had been an issue with a group booking of 6, which made our accept their booking so we did indeed go over limit that day, but we did not wish to ruin their day as they only had that one day left in Munich. Munich is amazing, but this tour company is awful

So sad to report, this is not the company to take a tour with. Definitely go to munich!! Definitely take tours! Just do yourself a big favor, and don’t do it with this company Radius. Easily, the worst tourism company We have ever worked with. Don’t get me wrong, the tour guide themself was wonderful, but this Radius tour company in Munich have got tons of attitude. They have that cocky “hey, we have thousands a guest a day, if you aren’t happy, we don’t care. Go somewhere else”. We were really upset about it. They are so proud of Rick Steve or someone once saying they are a good company, if he were to ever go back, he would pull his endorsement.

So much fun!! I highly recommend this tour early on in your stay because the people at this agency really care about your trip and make the best recommendations. Our vacation has been improved so much with the recommendations—for example a free outdoor Oprah and getting to see Bruce Springsteen for free with his upcoming garden performance. Our guide was informative and pleasant. However, on relection there was no appropriate safety briefing, or bike and traffic information. There appeared to be no company policy in regard to loosing customers on the tour. It is a very difficult job for the tour guide to look after 14 cyclists of varying ability and ages. From past experiences of other cycling tours we have done, there have always been simple protocols in place so this problem never arises. Our group lost us due to heavy bus congestion in the city centre and we had to solve the problem ourselves. We eventually managed to relocate the group ourselves
