What To Expect
Your tour begins with pickup from your central Napier hotel. Traveling by comfortable minivan, set out to discover Napier’s impressive architecture.
Pass through the historic Ahuriri district, stop to see landmarks such as the National Tobacco Building, and admire the 1930's Art Deco style homes that line the streets of the Marewa neighborhood. Along the way, hear from your guide how the city was destroyed by an earthquake in 1931 and rebuilt in a modern Art Deco style, and make several stops to take photos.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

I thought the trip was very worthwhile and informative - we went to some great spots and learnt lots of the history! The view from top of the hill, the gardens and Tobacco Building and art deco housing streets were highlights. The tour is via transport in a van and we had some great stops but meant we could go back to see some sites on foot when the tour had finished. Thanks John for all your knowledge!

We were taken to some magnificent locations overlooking Napier which we would never have found on our own , which helped us to truely understand the history of the town before and after the earthquake
