We thoroughly enjoyed this snorkeling tour! Alex (the captain) and Santiago (the dive guide) were very upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable. The small boat, 6 guest, format allowed for a very personal experience. Santiago guided us through the water away from the big boat crowds making it a relaxing outing. I have been on big boat snorkeling trips before where it seemed you were always getting kicked by some other guest. Santiago avoided that for us. We highly recommend this tour.

Small, private tour

Great price. Sebastián and Alex were great guides. There were only 6 of us on the tour. It's a small zodiac type boat so no frills ar bathroom but I love the small group tours. The big boats looked so crowded in the water.

I this was the 2nd Turtle Canyon Snorkel tour I booked that was cancelled while I was in Hawaii. I did not get to experience this at all.

We had a great time with Captain Alex and Santiago on this trip, saw lots of turtles and fish and got a close look at the reef. Santiago was in the water with us and shared lots of good information about the area and wildlife. I definitely recommend this small group experience!

It was a great experience for our family! I chose "semi-private boat" tour, because it gives you more attention and seems like "family friendly" tour. Captain Max and his partner(staff) is very friendly and gives you an instruction in detail, so if you're a beginner for snorkeling, you don't have to worry about it, because they are there! Also, when you are on a boat, you can feel like riding on a jet ski, which was so much fun! If you are experiencing motion sickness like me, Captain Max will give you motion sickness relief inhaler. Just enjoy!!

Captain Garrett and Santiago made this such an incredible experience! I am not a well versed snorkeler and they had patience and checked in on us routinely. We got to see several Sea Turtles and while I know they can’t control that they knew when and where to head to certain spots. I also loved that this was a smaller boat because it felt like we were able to get a more personal experience because of it.

Our guides, Alex and Garrett, were Amazing!! We had such a fun time with them! They are super knowledgeable and we learned a ton! They helped us spot dolphins, whales, turtles, eagle stingray and tons of fish!! Honestly, the very best snorkel experience we’ve ever had, and we snorkel a lot!! We will be back!!

Alex and Garret were amazing! We saw turtles and whales!!! Not only did they personalize our experience but they were hands on with our group - in the water with us (specifically staying with our littlest kid the entire time making sure he felt safe and had a comfortable experience), educating us, and being very aware of everyone’s abilities, concerns and questions! I would highly recommend this duo and company for your experience! We’ve done the larger charters and we will do this again over that every time!!

Saw a bunch of turtles @ Turtle Canyon

Max and his team were very friendly and fun. Got us to the snorkeling site quickly on a fast and fun boat. Everyone’s knowledge of the turtles and fish, was excellent and made for a very informed trip. As a bonus, on the way back, there was a radio call of someone spotting a whale. Max got us over to the site quickly and we were able to see a mom and her calf. Bonus for us and thanks to Max for changing course for us.

This is a fantastic adventure! The short boat ride was incredible, lots of manuevering the surf. We saw adult and young turtles. And so many fish. I would highly recommend this excursion.

ho hum with a lot of people

tons of snorkelers at this location. Water murky. I saw the underside of one turtle who surfaced. we were on a 6 person boat which was nicer than the 60 person boat(s) but we all converged noon location called turtle canyon just off Waikiki beach. Water was very cloudy and I never did see a canyon. On the plus part, our boat was nice and our captain and guides were great at attracting fish and pointing out turtles (which I never saw, but that was me). Their equipment was good and they were very good and taking care of everyone. It was the location and popularity which did not work for me. I would hire this company again but for a different location which is less populated (if that is possible in Hawaii).
