What To Expect

Spend an evening sampling the best of what France's wine industry has to offer during a French wine and Champagne tasting in Paris. Make your way to a beautifully renovated wine cellar in Paris' city center, not far from the Louvre Museum, and settle in for a French wine master class.

With guidance from a sommelier, you'll taste six different French wines from all over the country,. Learn what makes French wines so beloved. Hear about how Champagne is made, and why it's long been considered the best bubbly. Find out how to taste wine correctly, what words like 'appellation' and 'terroir' mean, and how to read a French wine label.

This wine tasting is designed to give you a deeper understanding of French wines in a relaxed setting where you can actually enjoy what you're learning. Sip wine and nibble fresh bread, or upgrade to add a plate of cheese and/or charcuterie for a more substantial snack.

At the conclusion of the tasting, you'll receive a list of all the wines you sampled, and you'll leave with greater confidence for the next time you're handed a wine list in a restaurant.

I highly recommend this experience! It was great to be able to sight see and then do this and not have to leave the city of Paris to experience and learn about French wine! Our wine sommelier was knowledgeable and approachable! One of our favorite unique experiences in Paris!

The tour was quite an enriching experience! It provided a solid foundation for understanding the basics of wine and wine production across France! The wine and cheese selections were exquisite! Moreover, our guide, Paul, with his friendly and laid-back attitude, extensive knowledge of the subject, and his ability to teach, made the visit unique and fun. The guide, Paul, was excellent. He gave plenty of education without becoming boring or pedantic. I felt I knew a lot about wine and wine-making but Paul gave interesting insights all in under two hours. He was superb.

Loved the Wine Tasting at O Chateau! We were a group of 4 in a larger group of about 25 guests in the charming basement 'cave' of O Chateau, a cute wine bar. Our leader Jasmina was terrific - knowledgable, friendly, engaged and funny. She kept the tasting moving nicely, working through 6 tastings (3 white, 3 red), while keeping it fun. She managed to keep all 25 of us - with very different levels of wine knowledge and background - interested and engaged. I would recommend the delicious cheese and charcuterie plate add-on. I learned a ton about French wines and wine making in general, and came out feeling more confident about understanding French wine lists. Really fun 2 hours.

We had a good experience overall. It is not exactly what I was expecting in Paris. Although very informative. Viator offer me a good price but then my credit card was charged much more. Each person had about 5 small glasses of wine red/white and we both paid a bit less than 200 € you will learn about the regions and wines in France.
