Too long bus ride to see a rock
Cheryl_J, Apr 2024
Wave Rock was nice. But the bus ride to get there was 5 hours each way to see Wave Rock for an hour.
Great day
Colleen_H, Apr 2024
Great day trip, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip enjoyable. April is the wrong time of year to see wildflowers.
Surfing on the wave rock
Henry_K, Apr 2024
Seeing the incredible formation of wave rock. It was a long drive to see this rock. However, driver/tour guide tried to give information and facts along the way.
Enjoyable!
Linda_G, Apr 2024
The trip is pretty far in distance but I personally think it is worth going. My tour guide is very good. Patient, friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a lot at Wave Rock because we have sufficient time to explore the scenic. Thanks!
A sight not to be missed
Susan_E, Apr 2024
We were picked up at the stated time and made our way to a central pick up point to start our journey with the allotted bus, complete with on board loo, and our driver Gordon. We started off and made our way to the very pretty town of York. After a short comfort stop we had time to purchase a coffee and breakfast from a main street bakery. Lovely. Then it was onward through the vast expanse of the Wheat belts to Corrigin for another comfort stop. Just on the edge of the town was a cemetery dedicated to the dogs from the area. Through Hyden and onward to our first stop at Hippos Yawn for a photo opportunity. Afterwards we arrived at Wave Rock resort for a true 'Aussie lunch'. We did have a small amount of time to see the eclectic collections of lace, model soldiers, wildlife park and more. Then it was on to Mulkas Cave to see the cave hand prints and hear the story of Mulka. Our final stop was Wave Rock. Wow. Not to be missed. Fantastic. Unfortunately, due to getting on in years, we couldn't climb to the top, but the view from the bottom did just as well for us. All in all, it is a very long way in a day (approx 750 km/ 450mile but very well worth it. Would I do it again - Yes certainly.
Although the travel time...
KwanChi_L, Apr 2024
Although the travel time is a bit long, but the scene of the wave rock is marvelous. It worths the time spent.
A Long Journey but worth it
philip_s, Apr 2024
Long journey but the driver shared many interesting stories with us. York was smaller than expected. The Wave Rock was worth the visit, larger and higher than expected. We didn’t know it was claimable and enjoyed the climb. Lunch was a disappointment, basic, no guidance on serving arrangements.
A long day out!
Lanna_L, Apr 2024
This was a very long trip and lucky that we did not consider driving there ourselves. The tour was well organised with toilet stops every 2 hours. Glen was our driver/guide for this tour. Glen was great in providing us with great commentary. On our way back, it was very thoughtful of Glen to stop by the Road house so that we could get some food for "dinner". By the time we got back to the city, it was close to 8:30pm.
A worthy trip
Lei_W, Apr 2024
I booked this day trip for my family. It’s a long day trip but the bus driver stopped every 1.5-2 hours for break and toilet. Lots of stories talked by the driver on the way so not very boring. The Wave Rock is absolutely a must see and a photo for memory. The down point is that we stopped at BP Petrol station for dinner but I could not get hot chips as long queue for toilet. I recommend anyone at the last stop to buy food first and then toilet especially you are a female.
Super trip
Jean_W, Apr 2024
It was a very interesting trip as the driver of the bus was extremely knowledgeable and obviously knew the areas very well. Thank you Pete for an excellent trip.
Amazing Trip
Samantha_P, Apr 2024
Wave rock was amazing - the view once standing on top of the rock formation was breath-taking and the wave aspect was incredible to see
Awesome!
Rebecca_A, Mar 2024
A one-of-a-kind geographic formation! It was a long RT bus ride, but worth it in the end. We also traveled through the agricultural region of West Australia and saw some kangaroos.
A great day out
Eileen_D, Mar 2024
A very enjoyable day, Luke our driver had really studied the area and its people and was very knowledgeable. Delicious lunch.
brilliant
AnnMaree, Mar 2024
We went Pinnacle Tours, Chris was our guide, what a great pleasure to have a tour guide, who was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about his work. A safe ride to the site, and it was along day. We were given clear instructions on where to and how the day was planned. The Rock was spectacular, and the whole area was picturesque and interesting. Well worth the day out.
Wave Rock Wonder
Don_S, Mar 2024
The whole day including the ride to and from as educational with the Wave Rock just magnificent, Our Driver was excellent in his knowledge when pointing out historical points in time, local history and tit bits on the areas and towns we passed through during our tour.
Wave Rock
Barbara_M, Mar 2024
Amazing day out. Wave Rock and the other associated attractions were fantastic. Our bus driver, Luke was full of knowledge about the area and his jokes were hilarious 😂! Thoroughly recommend this tour.
Wave Rock is iconic, if you want good photos go mid-week, be warned it is a long day out.
Ian_L, Mar 2024
From Perth, be warned it is a long day. Wave Rock lived up to expectations and the town of Yorke is a great stop too if your like early architecture The driver was good with knowledge and filled in the 9-10 hours on the bus. When at the rock do not expect to have the place to yourself especially on the a weekend (or a long weekend).
Wave Rock
Debbie_S, Mar 2024
Our driver Luke was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with stories during the long drive in between stops. Wave Rock is worth the trip it's like nothing I have seen before
Best 12 hour road trip ever
Margaret_E, Feb 2024
Our tour leader shared so many interesting facts of the area while we drove along. Many stories of how the original people lived in the area. She was easy to understand and easy to listen to.
Well worth it!
Tanya_W, Feb 2024
It is a long day and a lot of driving but the coach was very comfy and the guide/driver brilliant! Amazing sights, scenery and a lot of history and information. Memorable trip!
