Overview
The otherworldly landscapes of the Pinnacles Desert are one of Western Australia’s most impressive natural wonders, found just north of Perth in the Nambung National Park. On this tour, admire the Pinnacles at their most magical during a sunset visit, enjoy a sunset dinner in the desert, and stay after-dark for a thrilling stargazing experience. Along the way we stop at Nilgen Nature Reserve to see wildflowers in early spring or we visit Hangover Bay for a walk on the beach & to see native plants used by the local Aboriginal people for food and medicine.

In the evening we will drop you back as close as possible to your accommodation provided you are staying in the city area. Your guide will ask you where you are staying.
What To Expect
Your tour begins with pickup from your Perth accommodation (select hotels only). Board your vehicle and settle in for the journey (there is a rest stop en route).
Your first destination is the Lancelin Sand Dunes where you can experience the thrill of sandboarding down the towering white-sand dunes.
Next, make a short stop at the Nilgen Lookout in a beautiful nature reserve where you can see wildflowers in season. Alternatively, stop at the secluded beach at Hangover Bay to learn about its Aboriginal heritage.
Finally, arrive at the Pinnacles in time for sunset. Enjoy a barbeque dinner with wine followed by stargazing with telescopes and astro binoculars and hear Dreamtime stories of the night sky long told by the first people of Australia.
Your tour ends with a drop-off where you were picked up.

- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Sand boarding extra bonus on trip, lots of fun. Tour guides very knowledgeable on area and very helpful during stargazing. Pinnacles like walking on moon scape. We thoroughly enjoyed the day trip. Well worth it.

Our guide Skip was so funny making us laugh all the time. Must do when visiting Perth. Take a jacket for the venting and both walking shoes and sandals. Take your own lunch. Dinner was nice beef and chicken sausages but the salad choices were amazing.

Everything was fantastic. From food with great salads, Neil who was friendly, informative and a careful driver. The sand dunes were fun, the pinnacles and walk around them worthwhile and despite some cloud cover we saw Jupiter and it's four stars. Very relaxing, interesting and enjoyable.
