Immerse yourself in Arizona’s natural landscape on a self-guided kayak rental through Saguaro Lake. Booking a rental allows you to explore at your own pace and linger at locations with the best views of the river and wildlife. In addition to free parking, the tour includes a kayaking and safety orientation for all skill levels.

  • Near public transportation
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • Minimum age is 10 years
  • Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Maximum weight is 275 lbs
  • No double/tandem kayaks available
  • Dress to be in the heat/cold and to get wet!
  • Participant must be comfortable with an unguided water excursion
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Relaxing day kayaking on this gorgeous lake. Guides gave the necessary basic instructions and then set us free on the lake. Enjoyed this excursion. Kayaks were in good shape and guides were helpful getting kayaks in and out of the lake.

What a great experience! The lake was far more beautiful than I was expecting and the company seemed to have this down to a science. One thing to note- the Ranch will drive you to and from the lake, the kayak launch is not right off their property. In total the travel time/ loading and unloading takes about an additional hour. You are not able to leave early, so keep that in mind if you have a tight schedule!

Quiet and Calm (with a Workout!)

Excellent workout! It was raining when I went. Wish I had a poncho. It was still an amazing experience regardless. The best part was how quiet it was (save for the occasional speedboat coming by).

We had a wonderful experience with canyon and cliffside kayaking. They pick you up at the ranch and drive you to the lake, give you a brief explanation of the lake and tips on kayaking and then ask you return in two hours. It was an excellent way to spend our morning, the lake was beautiful and the people were great.

Great experience from arrival to departure. Employees are all friendly and helpful-appear to really enjoy their jobs. The kayaking was fun. Nice durable kayaks. Highly recommend going to Willow Creek worth the 2 hour paddle to and from. Beautiful scenery. Lake can be busy with large boats-recommend earlier your time.

Great chill out lake to kayak

Great service by the ranch. We went to the ranch to get on the van to the lake. There is a restroom and water refill stations also a vending machine. Once we get to the lake. Staff went over how to kayak and pointed out a few locations to check out in the lake and helped us take off. Pick up was smoothly done also. Lake is pretty and a chill place to hang out. Overall a good experience.

Incredible views of hidden treasure. We wish we would have had a little more time, but perhaps there are extended tours. Only drawback was boat traffic, but certainly not the fault of operators. They were incredibly professional and everythig was first rate. Lake Kayaking is different than river kayaking, so the boat traffic was out of anyone's control, but made the experience less enjoyable than perhaps a river tour in the same incredible part of Arizona.
