What To Expect

Your ATV tour starts from Rock Springs, a community located in Black Canyon City just north of Phoenix. Check-in with your guide for a safety briefing and training then slip on your helmet and goggles before setting off for the Bradshaw Mountains of the Sonoran Desert.

Travel past saguaro cacti and deep canyons carved by flash floods in the vast desert terrain. Ride off-road over rugged washes and cross creeks.

The ride offers scenic views of the Agua Fria River Valley, and includes plenty of stops to learn about the area from your guide. Hear anecdotes about the Native Americans who once farmed the unforgiving landscape; search for coyotes, bobcats, deer, rabbits, quail, and snakes.

For the best experience we recommend booking the early morning tour times, temps are cooler and group sizes are smaller

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

It’s worth the price, staff makes you comfortable in your ability to operate the atv prior to going onto the actual trail and the tour guides we were with were funny and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend!

Good trails and depenable ATVs. Helmet and goggles reinforced safety priority. That day was quite chaotic with an accident delaying arrival. The guided tour was delayed several times because of the congestion on the trails. Not the fault of the staff but is a reflection of the trail overlap for so many groups

Centipede speeds

Upon arrival, immediately we were discouraged from doing the ATV tour. The UTV tour was mostly pushed on us by all staff members not sure why. The booking states 3 hrs for the atv tour as they utilize 1 hr for the training if you have never rode an ATV. However, if you switch to the UTV there’s no training but you still just get 2 hrs so where did the 3rd hour that i originally booked? Who knows. The UTV ride, was a bit boring as you’d expect to experience the thrill of going fast, this experience is done like a centipede. So it’s either your going at grandpa speeds or fall back and then floor it to get the thrill. There’s a lot of stopping to advise of the gear changes. They do stop for scenic views and picture opportunities plus a little information about the desert, wild life, and other things.

This was such a fun experience! It was a little scary at first especially if you’ve never done this or have a fear of heights. The views were incredible ! I will say ride at your own risk this is not for children Me and my friends ubered there and got stranded getting back; the employees were nice enough to lend us a hand and take us to the nearest town. I wish I remembered our instructors names !

A lot of fun. Good equipment and gear. Guide did a great job keeping everyone together. Though I am experienced on ATV's, as long as you pay attention to the safety briefing and operate within your limits you will have a great time. Recommend going with a guided group if you are not an experienced rider or familiar with the trails.

This was a really tour. I liked that you could do a guided or unguided tour. I wish the route had been marked a bit better than it was. I also feel like the trail should continue around and back to the base camp without having to go back against traffic. For safety purposes.

Very scary! You should already know how to drive an ATV. This tour is not on flat ground. It is going up and down a mountain with only the width of the road. It is a dangerous adventure. Not for the inexperieced. Participate at your own risk. They do not carry insurance. If you get injured it is on you. If you damage equipment, you pay for it. If you can't make it back and they have to come get you...you pay for it. Must sign a waiver to acknowledge they are not liable. Personnel was very nice.

We switched to the UTV tour per their recommendation, and it was fun. The guide was great, but the drivers in front of us were SLOW, so the entire time was spent waiting for them to move a little bit. Beautiful scenery, and I'm happy we went, but it wasn't as exciting as it could have been.
