Overview

Spend a thrilling day aboard a Kawasaki Teryx UTV during an off-road tour in the Sonoran Desert. Ride on rugged and rocky trails in the scenic Bradshaw Mountains and cross the Aqua Fria River during the scenic journey. Your guide is knowledgeable about the region's plant life, wildlife, and history, with plenty of stories to share. Bookings are per vehicle. If your group requires more than one vehicle, please create multiple bookings. Max of 4 people per vehicle.

What To Expect

Your UTV tour starts from Rock Springs, a community located in Black Canyon City just north of Phoenix. Check in with your guide for a safety briefing and training then slip on your helmet, goggles, and gloves before setting off for the Bradshaw Mountains of the Sonoran Desert.

The ride aboard a Teryx utility vehicle offers scenic views of the Agua Fria River Valley and includes plenty of stops to learn about the area from your guide. Ride off-road over rugged washes and cross creeks.

Travel past saguaro cacti and deep canyons carved by flash floods in the vast desert terrain. Hear anecdotes about the Native Americans who once farmed the unforgiving landscape; search for coyotes, bobcats, deer, rabbits, quail, and snakes.

For the best experience we recommend booking the early morning tour times, temps are cooler and group sizes are smaller

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

I booked this for my husbands birthday with two of our friends. Tyler was an excellent tour guide. Our whole group had a great time. This was our first time on a UTV. The trip had a couple stops where we were able to change drivers and Tyler offered history and knowledge on plants. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone and will be back again! My husband said this was his favorite part of his birthday.

Very Fun. The UTV's practically drive themselves, very easy to operate. Love the guides, they are informed and capable. You will get dusty, maybe a little wet if the river has enough water. The UTV's are loud, so you just enjoy the ride, view, and thrill. You get to drive your own vehicle and you closely follow several other identical vehicles led by the guide. The road/trail is dusty, steep sometimes and bumpy. I would take this adventure again, no question.

Absolutely amazing experience. At first was a bit scared to do the UTV tour but our tour guide was amazing and assured me I would enjoy it. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and this was the best part of my vacation. It’s on my list to do again.

This tour was very bumpy and I get it that we are in the desert but we literally could only go about 5 mph due to large group and step hills and rocky terrain. We had glass and googles and still had sand in our eyes. The UTVs need a screen on the front to help with sand. Our tour guide Jake was fabulous. Not his fault about the sand.

The tour guide was awesome! We tried cactus that tour guide offered that he picked on our trip! It was definitely worth the money and would absolutely do it again if we are visiting again! We just wish we added more to our trip there, but we were on a schedule.

We enjoyed the tour, the guides were friendly and the whole experience was fun. My only problem would be that there were about 80 people in the group, this made the tour very impersonal and there was no opportunity to stop to enjoy the views, take pictures or talk with the guides

We did an early tour (8am) on Tuesday. Our guide was Joe and he was AWESOME. There were 7 of us(2 reservations) in 2 UTVs along with Joe. We ended up with basically a private tour because no one else booked the 8am tour, so go early. The views are spectacular, the vehicles are in great shape and the trails are so fun. Highly recommend this outfit and their guides. It was such a fun time for our family!
