Colors and taste of Canada in an awesome hike
Corina_C, Oct 2023
The Jacques-Cartier National Park is a true natural wonder! I urge everyone to go visit it! Special Kudos and hat tip to Antoine, our guide, who was exceptionally wonderful to us. Besides sharing a plethora of information and good cheer along the way he surprised us at every turn with wonderful little tasting samples of local Québécois produce which we absolutely adored. Furthermore, he gave us great insights about what hiking trails to do! We absolutely had a blast and saw surreal colors given we were here during foliage season. Definitely a must do
The guide was terrific...

The guide was terrific and it was well worth it!!!!! she was uber knowledgeable. and fun. Nice lunch. We only had one day so this was perfect!! AND easy to do.
Great hiking trip!
Melody_M, Aug 2023
I had a great time on this trip. Our guide took us on 2 very pleasant hikes. They weren't too difficult and it was just a nice day spent outdoors. Unfortunately it rained a lot during the day but our guide was well prepared with ponchos. He also had a picnic lunch for us consisting of sandwiches, chips, crackers with local spreads to try, and some delicious hibiscus tea. Overall it was a great day that I enjoyed very much and wouldn't hesitate to book again if I have another opportunity to visit Quebec City.
Relaxing hike!

Excellent guide! Great experience! Only complaints I wish I knew there time for swimming and relaxing near the river, Regretted that I did not bring a bathing suit and a book. I recommend the guided tour!
Wonderful day amidst nature’s beauty

The hike had breathtaking views. This was My first time hiking and it was challenging but very doable. I wish we could have kayaked in the afternoon.
Great adventure

Fantastic guide with plenty of information given and all questions answered on the hike, food was great too. And all sustainably sourced.
Great day!

It was a great day. Even though prior days of rain and flooding kept much of the park inaccessible, we hiked 6 miles. Our local guide was warm and friendly. And her breadth of knowledge of the flora and fauna made it a learning experience for all of us. Thanks Gabrielle!
Unique experience to get you out of the city
Stacy_H, Jun 2023
The shuttle bus ride is about 45 minutes from the central city pickup location. The trail had significant incline, making this a moderate-level hike. It was approx 5miles. The group hike was finished before lunch. The guide had sandwiches for us. Afternoon, it was 'free time', so we could do what we wanted. A few nearby trails of various difficulty are avail. Note: the mosquitos and black flies were out en masse, and you will need bug spray or get eaten alive! Our guide was not very chatty/friendly, and drove a little crazy. Made us listen to heavy metal on the radio, and turned the A/C off part-way through the afternoon trip back to the city. I do wish he had told us more about the land/park itself, and the history or First Nations who once lived there. Instead we got a nature lesson about mushrooms. He didn't go at too fast of a pace for us city-dwellers, which was good.

Hello, we thank you for your comment and we will speak with the guide to remedy the problems of transport and interpretation.

Guild was passionate about the area. Took his time explaining plants and trees. Would definitely do this again when in the area. Highly recommend to any nature enthusiast

Come to see the golden autumn
Liuyan_C, Sep 2022
Hiking with Lorenzo was awesome and he introduced me amazing experience of the land and special food. The rain in the middle of the hike also added up to the perfect experience of autumn leaf abscission. Thank you Lorenzo for the drive and nice hike!
Fun trip but needs some tweaks
Kimberly_J, Jul 2022
The park is beautiful with excellent trails from easy to difficult. The tour itself needs a bit of work. A bit of confusion at the start got sorted out. The guided hike ends around 12:30 or so and then we were left to figure out what to do for the remaining 3.5 hours. There are activities at the park like canoeing, however, you have to make a reservation in advance. Had we known that we would have several hours to fill, we would have made reservations for that or some other activity. It would be helpful for that to be clear upfront and to provide the guide’s cell number as well. We were ready to go by 2:30 but couldn’t find him. Someone in our group finally tracked him down so that we could leave earlier than the scheduled 4pm departure. Lunch is a ham sandwich, which was fine but if you want/need any additions (chips, salad, beverage, etc.) you need to bring them yourself. The guide was very friendly and helpful making it a very pleasant way to spend the day. Good excursion out of Québec city and with a few adjustments to communication and information shared up front, this will be a an excellent day trip.
Unique guided hike tour in Quebec available on this website

Wonderful hike experience! This seems to be the only guided hike tour in Quebec available on this website.
Day trip to Jacques-Cartier
Dan_G, Jul 2022
We enjoyed our trip to Jacques-Cartier. Our guide Eloise was kind and knowledgeable about the area. We liked meeting the other guests on the guided hike, but if you are a strong hiker, we would recommend taking off on your own early rather than taking the guided hike. Eloise was also a great driver. The river views were beautiful and the park is lovely.
Beautiful, relaxing place...

Beautiful, relaxing place to visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable and experienced in all trails and things to see and do at the park.
Could be better
Robert_L, Sep 2019
Hiked Les Coulees trail. Nice hike but not much scenery. Just a walk in the woods. Guide told us this is the trail they use most times on this excursion. Ranger suggested trails that would provide some great scenery but they involve another 20 minute or so drive. One of our fellow hikers hitched a ride to and from one of these trails so you might inquire about this. Would suggest hiking boots as trails are up and down and somewhat rocky. Nice alternative to most of the popular Quebec City tours.
Self guided tour option
Julia_A, Aug 2019
The park was beautiful. Please be aware that the self guided tour option is ONLY the ride to and from the park. No lunch is included despite the description. You must pay for your admission to the park.
Response from Host, Aug 2019
Hello, we now have 3 options: guided hike, self-guided hike with lunch and shuttle only. We prepare a lunch for all guests taking the guided or self-guided hike. When did you participate in the activity? We may have made a mistake? Thank you
This is a REAL hike
Michael_M, Jul 2019
Our guide, Alex, was terrific but as an older couple (mid 60’s) this is a serious mid level 11 mile hike. Bring bug spray, water, sun lotion and good shoes!
