Overview

Great experience!! Rob, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and extremely fun to be with. Each of our 3 tasting stops was unique and in all we sampled more than 20 wines. Really excellent. Highly recommend!! Thanks Rob!

Fabulous wine tour of Otago wineries near Queenstown!

This was an amazing and perfect end to our time in Queenstown! Emma and her dog Ruby were the perfect and knowledgeable guides that took us to 4 great wineries in Queensyown, Otago…including the wine cave at Gibbston Valley wines — my husband and I also take pictures and we had great views on top of lovely wine, 10/10!

Lunch was not included in the cost of the package. The tour was quite rushed as well - granted, it was on new year's eve so the traffic was worse than usual. Visited Gibson Valley Winery, Rockburn, Kinross, and Brennan.

Hi Marcus, We are disappointed with your review as we pride ourselves on guests having an amazing wine tour experience with us. We went out of our way to accommodate picking you up from a private residence and on arrival, 2 out of 6 people were waiting on the street and then we waited a few minutes for 2 more people to come out and then waited another couple of minutes for the last 2 people in your group of 6 to come out. This behaviour impacts the guests who we had picked up earlier and were in the Mercedes Sprinter van and the guests that we were picking up after your group. We then went the back way out of Queenstown avoiding Frankton Road so everyone was not sitting in traffic going to the wineries and coming back. The last winery even gave the group an additional tasting so it shouldn't have been rushed if they were able to give everyone an extra wine tasting. We had communicated with you that we can pick you up from your private residence but that we would have to drop you off centrally in town. We then went above and beyond to drop 2 people from your group back to the private residence when you asked which added time and expense to us. Lunch is additional and this is clearly stated in the wine tour information which perhaps lead to your review. I would suggest in the future to do a private tour for your group so that they don't impact or affect other guests on the wine tour and then you could request pricing that includes lunch. Great wine tour. We made three stops -- one at a smaller winery (Mt. Rosa)(my favorite of the day), one at the wine cave, and one where we tried wines from a bunch of different wineries. Over the course of the day we got to try almost 20 different wines! Our tour guide Vicki was great! They also provided us with a water bottle and a nice bubblewrap wine holder for any purchases -- this was a great gift idea and provided nice protection for the flight home. The lunch was more of a charcuterie than a full lunch but it was very high quality. Small critique -- while the wine tastings themselves were not rushed but we didn't have much free time to walk around the vineryards or shops -- small suggestion to the tour operator would be to build in 5-10 more minutes at the end of stops for shopping, pictures, exploring.

Emma our tour guide was just great. Her knowledge of wine in the region was excellent and she makes you feel very welcome. It was a great day and a lot of fun. The only reason for giving this tour a 4 /5 is because we only got to see 2 of the 3 vineyards as the tour was running behind schedule
