The hummingbird farm was great with the birds iridescent colours hard to catch. Although the bus was new the seats were hard. It was hard to hear the guide up the back.

Thanks for your feedback. We are going to check the car we use. Although, for the tours we don't use buses we use just mini-vans or small cars.

Amazing Mindo Experience

This is an incredible tour and an absolute must-go. Our guide Eduardo was knowledgable about the local culture and a great conversationalist on various topics and trivia. The hour-long hike through the forest to the waterfalls is well worth it with beautiful natural scenery. We also had so much fun tubing down the river and got to feed some hummingbirds. Lunch was at Mishqui Quinde (Sweet Hummingbird) and the vegan ceviche here has been one my favorite dishes in Ecuador. 10/10 recommend.

Great time in the rainforest

Eduardo was a great guide and made our journey much more enjoyable. We had a fun and educational time in the rainforest. The hummingbird sanctuary was the highlight of the trip as well as learning the traditional method of making chocolate!

The 2.5K hike to visit the 3 Waterfalls. It was a much more challenging hike than I anticipate and I would suggest including the difficulty of the hike on the tour description. The chocolate factory was fun and the tour guide was informative and knowledgeable

Carolina was a wonderful guide. We were able to hike to a waterfall, visit the hummingbird sanctuary and a chocolate maker, have lunch in Mindo, and even stop to buy quinoa before returning to Quito at 5pm.

It was the last day of our 2 week stay in Ecuador. We wanted a relaxing day before heading to the airport for a midnight flight. It was fantastic to experience feeding hummingbirds and butterflies on our hands! We tried one more hike to a nearby waterfall and it was so peaceful. The Teleferico ride gave me the last sweat. But to top it all, our tour guide, Eduardo, took us to a local resto with the best local food in town, yum!! It was the best way to end our stay in Ecuador. Thank you so much to this wonderful experience.

We had an incredible time visiting Mindo, I cannot recommend this tour enough! Our guide Marcelo was awesome!! He was very knowledgeable and so passionate about nature and his country which made him a joy to listen to. We appreciated that the trip was flexible so you could choose how you wanted to spend your day. Our favourite stop was the hummingbird sanctuary where we actually got to feed the birds and they flew all around our heads! We also went zip lining, visited 2 waterfalls and a chocolate factory where we tasted so much chocolate! Altogether a really amazing day.

Nice hike to waterfalls because it fully immersed us in the Andean rainforest. Marcello guided us with enthusiasm for the flora and fauna of the area. I also appreciated the conversation about Ecuador today.

Eduardo was a great guide. He asked us what we wanted to set and planned the day accordingly. He explained to us the different fauna and flora as we travelled during the day. He pictured us the equatorian culture and gastronomy. We were able to have a great time at Alambi where we had hummingbird land on our hands. We had a small hike and saw cascade and concluded the day with a butterfly farm and chcocolate factory visit. A great day in great company with a much appreciated lunch at a local restaurant in Mindo.

My guide was very friendly and did everything possible to make sure we got to all my preferred activities, given that it was a holiday weekend and fairly crowded. The hummingbird feeding was definitely a highlight!

Fantastic day exploring outside Quito. The hummingbird sanctuary was magical and the ziplines so fun. Eduardo was a very knowledgable and welcoming guide and was very flexible depending in what activities we wanted to do. I will say, it is probably safer to take $30-$40 cash for all the activities and lunch. Highly recommend.

Disappointing

Unfortunately this was a very disappointing trip for me. From the description of the trip I though I would be able to experience options as listed, not the case. I wanted to zip line - which i did, hike to see water falls and the butter flies. The butter files were closed when we arrived and only one water fall out of the 6, there were no other option for more water falls which i expected to do for the day. Turns out the whole group had to agree on the options - the last activity was the chocolate factory which I have seen in other tours so sat out - this turned into me sitting out side waiting with no other option, with nothing to do for over an hour, then a long drive back. the guild and drive were exceptional but the actual tour was misleading and felt that the afternoon was very long and a waste of time and money.

Dear Darlene, Thanks for visiting Ecuador and for the review. We very sorry that you have experienced certain inconveniences. We always offer the tour in good faith and try to do our best so that you have a great experience. It is true, we offer the activities listed in the itinerary however these are according to the interest and time of travelers. The tour we offered is an 8-hour tour for this reason we have to distribute the time of the activities that passengers choose, is how the tour itinerary indicates; "All those activities will be done according to your preferences and available time". For this reason, we only visited one waterfall, since we planned to do other activities such as the butterfly spot and chocolate factory and the time was very short. Regarding the butterfly farm, when we arrived, unfortunately, they did not assist us arguing that they were already going to close as a result of a new business hours and they said just buying the tickets would take 10 minutes and visiting this place for 5 minutes it would not worth it. Despite of, we offered you to visit another butterfly farm but you indicated that you did not want to do and that everything was fine. We understand that there was an incident for that reason we apologize you again. However, we believe that we tried to do the best to meet all expectations and we tried to do all the itinerary described in the tour in order to avoid major inconveniences.

Eduardo was right on time picking me up at my hotel. First went to visit the hummingbirds then off to visit a waterfall. Great lunch in Mindo and then a chocolate factory. Definitely recommend this tour!
