Please note that Your Day Tours offers pick-up service from selected pickup points in the Downtown Reykjavik area. We can unfortunately not offer pick-up service from private apartments, Airbnb apartments, hotels located in the suburban areas of Reykjavík or Keflavik Airport for our tours. If your pick-up location is not on our pick-up list then we kindly ask you to locate the closest pick-up point to your accommodation from the map or list below and meet us there for your tour. IMPORTANT: The pickup starts at 8:00 am and usually takes place between 8:00 and 8:30 am. We also do pickups from bus stops in Reykjavík, since some hotels are located within traffic restricted areas. We do pickups at the following bus stops: #1, #4, #6, #8, #9, #12 and #15.
What To Expect

On route, hear tales from your guide about the Golden Circle, and each site’s place in Icelandic history and folklore. Stay refreshed with complimentary on-board snacks and use the on-board WiFi as you wish.
Enter UNESCO-listed Thingvellir Park and observe the geological rift where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Gaze at the ridges of the two continents, and see Althing, site of the world’s first parliamentary gathering in 930 AD.
Stop to admire the two-tier falls of Gullfoss, whose name means ‘Golden Falls,’ and be sure to capture photos of the cascades as they plunge into a gorge.
Visit Geysir, an active geothermal area of bubbling springs and geysers. Walk around the pools and see the mighty Strokkur geyser erupt, shooting high into the air every few minutes.
Along the way, break for lunch (own expense) and make an additional stop at another natural treasure — the Faxi waterfall. Admire this picturesque fall and see the salmon ladder built beside it that allows salmon to journey upriver.

This tour is both entertaining and educational and Volli did a great job in providing useful details for each stop, what to expect and watch for. He also gave some interesting historical information about Iceland plus the scoop on North American and European tectonic plates. Great day, highly recommend.

Excellent tour. Such a varied landscape and so beautiful. Siggi was a great guide who made sure we had time to experience each place and walk about. Loved Gullfoss and Little Geyser and also the unexpected stop at the greenhouse. The continental divide and national Park were absolutely breathtaking.

Absolutely amazing golden circle tour, our tour guide was friendly, very knowledgeable and funny. He always relayed information to us and knew every answer to any question asked. He asked if we wanted to make a pit stop at a local farm for ice cream in between golden circle stops and of course we all said yes!
The golden circle tour itself was just wow. Please book yourself on this tour and you won’t be disappointed!

Very disappointed. This company had great reviews and we were really looking forward to it, but in reality it turned out to basically just be a (not good) bus with nothing to add.
The positives: it turned up in time and took us where we were promised. The ‘guide’ was pleasant.
The negatives: the bus was rusty, seatbelts didn’t work properly, the ‘guide’ was on her second day, swerved while driving making it feel very unsafe, gave the tour like she was reading it from a book with no personality or personal insights. She wasn’t clear on return times so on multiple occasions people who’s first language wasn’t English were late back, which meant we had to rush at the next location.
We could have paid significantly less to hire a car and wouldn’t have missed anything - and had more time at each location.

This gets the job done seeing the major sights of the golden circle with a small group. The advertisement said free snacks and beverages, which is false (we got one piece of candy, nothing more). But you aren’t here for the food and drink anyway. The bus was clean and comfortable, but I would advise plus size passengers to look elsewhere, as some in our group had trouble fitting in the seat. The tour guide was prompt and kind. Would’ve liked more time at the sights, as it felt like the entire tour was rushed to get back to the city by 4pm (which didn’t make sense because it got dark at 645).
