We had the best time! Not only was the scenery amazing but being able to do tricks on the ziplines really took it up a level! We even got to do flips! On top of that, the staff was so much fun! Holding a sloth was better than imagined! Then we encountered more animals than expected. Lastly was the snorkeling. We couldn't go to West Bay Beach because of the waves that day but stopped at 2 other places. Really neat! I should also mention it was easy to meet up with our guide. Definitely 5 stars!

Great time!!
RoyS_B, Apr 2024
Artmon was great, very helpful and great personality. The zip line experience was off the hook fun. The women loved the sloth 🦥 (Charlie) And the snorkeling was amazing! I have one negative thing-we were not aware of the $15 each to go on the beach. But the whole day was great!!!
Wonderful day with the kids
JENNA_M, Apr 2024
I have been all over the world ziplining and this was definitely one of our favorites, we took 4 kids from 5 to 15 as everyone knows that can be challenging... our tour guide was amazing and patient, Artmon picked us up at our location and hung out with us all day, he quickly became the kids best friend! They loved the ziplining, got 1 on 1 time with the animals, nothing was rushed and it was just a nice relaxing time, then they took us to the beach to catch a boat for snorkeling, I have 2 that are not the best swimmers and the guides were so accommodating, helping me help them, we got to see lots of fish, string rays and the beautiful reef that boards the island. I would recommend this to anyone, couples or ppl with kids. Artmon went above and beyond and even helped us get alot of great pics along the way! Thank you again!
Thoroughly enjoyed it, but AMERICAN safety standards need not apply
Jason_S, Apr 2024
This was very close to the cruise port and thoroughly enjoyable. But if you’re worried about AMERICAN safety standards, this is not it. We’ve done dozens of zip lines throughout the Caribbean. This one was pretty sketchy by comparison to most of them. But for us that made it a little more exciting, having that element of danger. Ha ha. And they had lots of slots and monkeys to interact with which was nice.
Mixed Experience
Ryan_K, Apr 2024
So this is a really hard review to right. To start off I rated it a 4 star, but the activities that you do are absolutely worthy of a 5. I will try and break this up so you can understand the rating. I will start with the good, and then talk about what was frustrating. To start the teenagers in our group absolutely loved our time in Roatan. They all said it was their favorite port and activities (ports grand cayman, Roatan, Belize, Cozumel). This excursion is focused on the ziplining and animals. The ziplining is exactly what others have said, big, fast, free to have fun. That is a big part of why the teenagers had so much fun. The opportunity to hold and interact with monkeys and sloths were great. The snorkeling was only about 30 minutes in the water, so if you’re wanting more time snorkeling you should look for an excursion focused on that. The snorkeling was amazing and you definitely could spend a lot of time doing it. Ultimately this was a great day. Now the reason I’m struggling with writing this is review is because of the bad communication and confusion coming into it. I will start from when we got off the boat and move through the day. If your interested read on if not you can stop and know you’ll probably have a good time. The meeting instructions were not super detailed. I was traveling with a few old people with a few minor restrictions for walking. For this reason I tried reaching out to Anderson tours for a little more detail and didn’t get anymore clarity other than what was provided originally. The instructions tell you where to go but nothing about how far it is, and mentions that there are taxis that will take you over the hill. I would NOT get a taxi the distance from where you get into the taxi and get out is 400 meters, and where they let you out at is in this huge crowd of tour companies. We took a taxi with our group of ten because of restrictions. This made things harder for us to find our tour company. I would absolutely walk over the hill you will only walk about 320 meters to a gate where there is someone there to direct you to your tour company. A lot smoother experience for our friends that walked. This is if you go on carnival and port at Mahogany Bay. Once we hooked up with Anderson tours they drove us to jungle top adventures to zip line, but were told it was to busy and we would need to come back later. No where does it explain that Anderson tours doesn’t actually do any of the tour. They act as your transport and middle man to the different activity companies. So we left and went to the west beach to snorkel. We were never told that depending on availability the order of the activities could be different. Not a big deal, but was very confusing. At the west beach your put in queue to get a boat and depending on when you show up you could wait up to 40 minutes to go snorkeling, but your never toad that. They just tell you to wait while they get the boat. There are shops to buy things that we could have filled our wait time with and made the time enjoyable if things would have been communicated better. Once the boat was there they take you a couple hundred yards up the beach away from the swimmers and let you snorkel for about 30 min. It’s advertised that all equipment is provided. I think their definition of equipment is mask and snorkel. We ran into this in Cozumel also. I had to specifically ask for fins, and I don’t think they would have had enough if everyone had asked. Great water cool place, but again the communication was bad. After snorkeling they let you rinse off then get back in the van to drive back to the zip line. The great thing about the jungle top adventures zip line is that they load you into the back of this really big truck and drive you up the hill. Almost no walking for the zip line. That was great, but again I asked before our trip about how much walking would be required for the zip line and got no response back from Anderson tours. It has been said in other reviews to be aware that because of the different activities you are tipping a lot. You will have the ziplining crew, which I would tip the most. You have the animal guides, the snorkel boat, and then you have you driver from Anderson tours. I’m not going to say how much to pay each, but I will say the zip lining has the most employees and you spend the most time there. Next I would say the Anderson driver. He spends the whole day with you and coordinates all your activities, and keeps your stuff safe. Then snorkeling boat, and last the animal guide. I’m pretty sure that ever tour company you go through is going to be the middle man. My advise to Roatan Anderson Tours is that you explain things better and when people reach out with questions try harder to answer them. My questions weren’t hard.
Definitely 5 stars!

One of my best days, EVER!!!!
Melanie_S, Apr 2024
I booked this excursion through Viator because our cruise ship did not offer the ziplines. I would book this excursion over and over again. The staff at each stop was very helpful and fun, they always had a smile on their face. It wasn't just a job for them, they really wanted to show you a good time. Our adventure started at the ziplines, they showed us how to hang upside down like spider man and do front flips of the platforms. Then we moved onto the animal park and got to hold ALL the animals, cuddling with the sloth was a very neat experience. Next we stopped by a cocoa shop and indulged in frozen banana and pineapple slice covered in chocolate, it was the perfect stop for a snack break and a chance to cool down. After we purchased some items we moved onto our next adventure, snorkeling!! This is not something i do to much in Canada so i was excited to see what this was all about, Roatan has the worlds second largest barrier reed and it did not disappoint. As we went out the staff feed the fish around the boat brining in what seemed like hundreds of tropical fish, i was blown away by this experience. As we swam around we got to see so many different types of fish, coral and squid. For me this was the highlight of the excursion. I did not want it to end. Our tour guides name was Allen, i would recommend him to everyone. He is a local that grew up there and was extremely informative. As he drove us from place to place he pointed out local plant and wild life in the area. He never rushed us and made us feel very safe and comfortable. At the end he dropped us off at a restaurant, took our order and then we said our goodbyes as we sat and ate the amazing food on the hill top overlooking the ocean and cruise ship. Allen, thank you so much for showing us your home you made the experience that much better for us.
Zip, monkeys, soothes and snorkeling oh my!
jodi_w, Apr 2024
This was so fun, every bit of it. Anthony and Cobby worked their butts off at the zip line for us. Our driver was not personable at all. It would have been great if he would have said, Ed are going here, meeting here and at what time. Nothing we had to ask all the questions. Bubba was fun when we went snorkeling.
Exillerating Experience!
Kristoffer_S, Mar 2024
Great experience, the ziplining was safe but adventurous. The sloths were the highlight of the animal hangout. Snorkeling was very relaxing, can't wait to go back!

Please be careful when booking this trip. Very unorganized, too many people in one spot. No coordination. Once you finally get to zip line and fight everyone off to hold the sloth they take you to resort but not what you are thinking. They call it a "beach break" and in reality it's a restaurant charging you 25.00 for a cheese burger, 1.00 to use the bathroom while you wait for your snorkel boat. I talked to some guest here and what most did is get a car service and just stop at the " sloth sanctuary " and other places on your own.
Super fun but also super overbooked
Kaoru_M, Mar 2024
This was our favorite excursion on this particular cruise (stops in Roatan, Costa Maya, and Cozumel), and all of our kids want to do this exact excursion again if we go back to Roatan. It really would’ve been perfect if they hadn’t overbooked it so badly. Us going the week of Easter/Spring Break likely didn’t help either. This particular tour started off at a meeting spot outside the gates at the Town Center Cruise Terminal. (If your cruise ship docks at Mahogany Bay, your meeting spot will differ.) We then were walked about 5 minutes over to Jungle Top Adventures Zipline. Yes, the tour description mentions air conditioned vehicle but that’s only for between the Zipline and Snorkeling and back. The animal sanctuary with the sloths and monkeys is also located at Jungle Top Adventures, so some will start with the Zipline while some will start with the animals. This unfortunately is where things got chaotic. My group was told to do the Zipline first, and was told to follow a tour guide… but he took us to the animal area instead. While we were confused about why we were at the animal area, our tour guide moved on with a part of our group and left us behind with no guide. They then reassigned us to a new guide, who already had a family of 10 with him. That family was rude and aggressive— they insisted that all 10 of them get to take pictures with the animals before my kids can get a turn. They even forced my daughter to return the sloth she was holding so that their group can get photos first. Ugh. Fortunately, that’s where the negatives end. They then gave us our third guide who was really great with letting us interact with all the animals. Too bad we didn’t have him from the beginning! Normally, we then would have gone to the Zipline, but the Zipline was too busy with a long wait so we moved on to the snorkeling part next. The snorkeling boat left from West Bay, which is an amazing snorkeling spot. We actually went there specifically to snorkel the last time we were in Roatan, so that was great. The reef here ranks up there with Bonaire and St Lucia in my opinion. There are plenty of tropical fish to see along with octopus and barracuda. Our driver John who drove us to/from the snorkeling was a great guy and took great care of us. Finally, we returned to the Zipline area to go Ziplining. With 16 ziplines of various lengths, it was exhilarating to go from platform to platform. Each platform is manned with a local staff who will held you on/off the ziplines. So even though we were there with 3 kids (11, 9, and 5), I felt comfortable with my kids’ safety. With that said, their platforms and stairs are totally not OSHA Compliant, so some parents might still feel comfortable about letting their kids zipline here. After the zipline, John was waiting for us with an offer to drive us back to the cruise terminal free of charge. That was so nice of him! So while we had some hiccups along the way, we ultimately came out of the experience with a big smile. We would definitely do this tour again… but hopefully in the off-season next time when it’ll be less busy!
Zip line was really fun! ...
Rachel_P, Mar 2024
Zip line was really fun! They had 2 zip line cables for safety. I got to hold a sloth but I don't think everyone did. It depends if the sloth felt like being held. Really fun! Be aware that there will be some waiting time and excursion took longer than expected due to crowds and traffic. I enjoyed it a lot!
Don't Book This One!
Tami_S, Mar 2024
Well, I will go right to the part that we felt was mishandled. When en route to the snorkel tour at the end of the three-part excursion, we were told that we were required to pay $15 each in addition to the fee that we had already paid in order to get to the boat. There was nothing in the description that said that this would be required, and if it had, I would not have booked this tour. So, that was an additional $30 for my husband and I. The family of three that was on the excursion with us, who were complete strangers, were put in the uncomfortable position of asking us for cash as they did not have the entire $45 for entry to the "resort." (They were wonderful people and paid us back almost immediately upon returning to the ship.) When looking back at the description, it said that the fee to Viator included entry to the Blue Channel, which may have been the name of the resort. Our guide, Ron Wittaker, INSISTED that we must pay this additional fee and that it was not included. It just ruined our mood as we felt that we were being taken advantage of. None of us had anticipated paying this additional fee. Also, the guide from the travel service, Ron, just walks/drives you to the three components of the excursion. So when you go ziplining, their hand is out for a tip when you are done. When you go visit the animals, another hand is out for a tip. Another hand is out when you finish snorkeling. And finally, your driver's hand is out as you return to port. That is four times that you are expected to tip for a few hours of adventure. We tipped $45 total. The other family had used most of their cash for entry to the resort and again were put in the uncomfortable position of requesting cash to tip Ron at the end. In all, we had to pay an additional $75 for the two of us to participate in this excursion. We had some dangerous fun with the ziplining, which we had never done before. It's certainly not OSHA-approved or anywhere close. No helmets are provided. It's not if but when someone is seriously injured there. I have booked numerous excursions through Viator while cruising and have never had this type of experience. Please heed my warning and do not select this excursion,

Hi hope all is well with you and your family and am truly sorry to hear this and read all about you experience. I will follow up with this extra charge is quick as I finish writing this back to you cause your snorkel is included the only thing is not included is the facility on the beach foe the resort and the blue channel is the area you go out to snorkel it's not a resort you can check it up online in your description u have included zip line monkey and sloth park and snorkel by boat witch u did all that . The tips is not obligated it's depending on you and your guide services and u feel good about leaving a tipo to them that's up to u no one hold there hands out am sure kf that unless u hand them something as tip if that made u fee uncomfortable then u didn't had to leave none And the zip line is registered in all local government law plus insurance and the trick and flips the guys does its foe fun u don't have to do them u can zip normal it's not a problem that's up to u When in the park u have a guide that walk u in right through from the start to the end it's up to u if u like his or her service and want to tip them Back to the beach thing if u was charge is may u wanted to use the resort facilities the beach is free but the resort facilities aren't but I will find out and if your right me personally will refund u that part back if not them it's the resort that charge foe the use of their facilities
Zip is a BLAST and Snorkel the outer limits of the Reef! Mind blowing!

Best time in Honduras
Julie_P, Mar 2024
We had the absolute best time would do this again in a heartbeat. We were driven around in a private van to do the zip lining, and then to see the sloth and monkeys. we even got to hold them and take pictures. then we were taken to a private beach where we rode a private boat to go snorkel and came back and had lunch on the beach. It was amazing 10 out of 10.

A very nice day spent in Roatan
Jonathan_A, Mar 2024
We were a little nervous at first about never using Viator. I've always booked through the cruise line. We had to walk outside the port and look for a representative. Once we met them, they walked us over to where the zip line and animal meet area was. It was a short walk from the pier. Then we came back, got into his car and we unexpectedly were taken to a nice location to do some souvenir shopping. Then we went to the chocolate factory and rum manufacturer. Then he took us to the location for snorkeling. And he waited around at all our stop locations including when we stopped for lunch by the snorkeling. All of the attendants we met including the boat captain were nice. With our driver and just us, it felt like a private tour. We got back and had a very good time.

Zip Lining with tricks
Roger_H, Feb 2024
What great Trip. The zip lining was our favorite excursion. The crew made it fun teaching us to do tricks, somersaults and upside down. John drove us around and gave us a comedy act along the way…. Great guy. Snorkeling was ok but a little short…had to wait for the boat to come back….but Okay was the waves were starting to get big. I would definitely recommend this adventure and could find myself doing it again!

They were wonderful, not only did they treat us like royalty they took such good care of my aging mother-in-law. She has never had such a great experience zip-lining. They made her feel like a queen and they took care of her and the rest of us as well. We got back to our ship on time and we are planning another cruise in July and had to make sure Roatan was on our lists of stops so that we can do this again.
Zip lining was sooo much fun. Kids loved it!
