Enjoyable day
Courtney_S, May 2024
Glass bottom boat tour was incredible and our guide was very knowledgeable. We saw lots of fish, some turtles and lots of different kinds of coral. Leonard was our guide from the sanctuary to the boat tour and he shared lots of information on Roatan as he got us to our destination.
Great Experience
Chris_B, May 2024
Great experience. We had a group of 10 and therefore it turned into a private tour. Sloths were so sweet. Everyone would recommend if you like touristy stuff.
Definitely Room for Improvement

1st off I knew there was a walk to get to the shuttle. What I failed to understand was the amount of people ans the terrain we had to maneuver through. We did a ride from the port area (still a bit of a walk) to the shuttle for $12. Our guide/driver, Leonard, was not forthcoming with any information. He was wearing a Roatan Anderson tour shirt and communicated with the shuttle operator enough for us to be 75% confident we were going to the right place. He dropped us off at the zoo entrance. Again no communication until I specifically asked what was to happen next. The zoo tour was amazing. We were sent with a guide and photographer. So cool to get up close to these animals. Photo package at the end was $60, after some bartering. Emailed within 48 hours, with great pictures! Drove around for 30 mins and stopped suddenly in roadway in front of some shops and Leonard asked if we wanted to go to chocolate factory. We declined and then drove another 20 minutes to glass bottom boat. Again dropped off, this time at a beach, with no communication. Beach was over run with locals peddling goods. I understand they are making a living, but telling the same 5 people no 15 times in 30 minutes is frustrating at minimum. Glass Bottom Boat part of the tour was awesome! Air conditioned and lots of ocean life to see! Tight quarters, but I had gathered that by pictures ahead of time. After we finished we had to track down Leonard, who enjoying the beach down the way. He did bring us back safely and on time. We were dropped off at cruise port, so no long trek back.
5 star day in Roatan

The sloths!!!! Omg!! Our tour guide was fantastic! So friendly and knowledgeable. He told and showed us so much about Roatan on our journey to and from the Sloths and Boat tour.
Up close and personal...
Lisa_B, Mar 2024
Up close and personal interaction with sloths and monkeys along with the most unexpected glass bottom boat tour that was almost like being in a submarine ...Excellent tour!
Fun times in Roatan
paul_h, Mar 2024
Friendly staff. Provided us with an additional stop at a chocolate shop. The initial dock we traveled to had overbooked and didn't have room for us on the boat, but our driver found another provider so we still got our full excursion (Thanks Robert).
Overpriced, but fun and new experience for our family.
Brittanni_B, Feb 2024
Interacting with the animals and seeing the underwater marine life was great! The tour guide was friendly as well. Overall the experience was a bit unorganized and overpriced, but we did enjoy ourselves.
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Sorry if it has make u feel that we were unorganized we had to make small changes at the end to catch the Glass bottom boat tour while she was going out but am glad you enjoy yourself
Great tour, fantastic tour guide.
Tracy_B, Feb 2024
Leonard was a fantastic tour guide. He took great care of us and we enjoyed the day tremendously. My only complaint was the long walk from the port to the Monkey/Sloth park. He said it was a short walk, but it was about a 15 minute walk. We are all in our 60's-70's and didn't realize it would be such a long walk, but we did ok. The glass bottom boat was fantastic, we saw a lot of fish in the reef. The stop at the rum and chocolate tastings were a nice bonus, got to buy a few gifts. It was a great day! Leonard gave us lots of information about Roatan and was very personable.
Seemed ripped off and paid almost double amount .
Shantanu_B, Jan 2024
Hi we paid an hefty amount for the shore excursions which seemed not that expensive for couples. The sloth and monkey point was 2 mins drive from the starting point and lasted for 15 mins only. Nothing much to see . The beach was 20 mins drive though but the glass bottom was little fun . When I asked local vendors for the price of the same trip , I was surprised to see how much violator have charged us. It’s almost double the amount . We paid $224 but the trip could easily be done under $100. So as a loyal customer with viator , if you guys can make up for the bad experience and refund some of the amount , should be appreciated. Thanks
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Hi hope all is well sorry to say but we cant refund you you did the tour and you enjoy the tour you were almost a hour in the park you did all you paid for we sell service for what you paid for $100 cant give it to you only after you get back to the port and they tell you that you owed so much extra we charge what it is
Under water adventure!

My family and I enjoyed the narration. The guide explained things ver well. Answered all questions. Great tour. Friendly staff! Will do it again!
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Thanks for your feeback its very important for us
May seem a bit sketchy, but it all worked out.
Scott_M, Jan 2024
Finding the meeting point for this was a bit of a challenge. One has to actually leave the port area to the main street and wander through a crowd of excursion vendors asking around by company name to be pointed to the right person (knowing the name of the agency running the event is paramount). We were ushered to a small car and driven to the other side of the island. My wife and elderly mother-in-law were very skeptical at all this. Overall, the driver was good but talked a bit quietly for backseat passengers to hear info. The "sub" had a fantastic guide who had to say everything in spanish and english as the group was split language. She was very charismatic and gave us a lot of information. The animal park was not really self guide, but each group was assigned a person to walk you though all the cages. Most of the animals were cooperative and holding the sloths at the end was pretty magical. It was a little less than professional, but a fun experience overall. Driving around the island is almost an adventure in and of itself.
Sloths were cool
Ron_C, Jan 2024
Ok, could have been better. Rum and chocolate parts were lame. Sloths were highlight of excursion. Ask to stop at a real local restaurant, not the tourist restaurant.
Loved the sloths!
Maria_T, Jan 2024
We saw the Sloths, monkeys and parrots. But the most memorable will always be the sloths. I fell in love with them. The monkeys were also fun and exciting. The workers were amazing. So knowledgeable and patient with us. This will be a great memory for years to come. Thank you Viator.
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Thank you for your feedback really appreciated and hope to have you back us again in the near future
Great roatan visit
Melissa_C, Jan 2024
Was a great tour. Our guide Tracy took us to our pre booked activities and offered to stop for us to have lunch and brought us to another area for more shopping. I loved interacting with the animals at the sloth and monkey visit and the glass bottom boat was pretty cool too although it went by really quick.
Very much enjoyed
Eric_D, Dec 2023
Our guide said he was new so he wasn’t really talkative but was willing and able to answer our questions. Super nice guy and took us everywhere we wanted to go. Very informative when ask questions of him.
AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE
Kimberly_H, Dec 2023
I have NEVER had such an amazing experience! First they waited for us to dock due to weather conditions and I'm talking like a 3 hour wait. They then took us on our paid excursion location plus an extra location because we asked. I hands down would do all of it again just because of the staff! Amazing customer service goes a long way!
Roatan with the best guide!
Deborah_B, Dec 2023
Roatan is beautiful! Shenelle was the most amazing tour guide! She is a local and has lived in Honduras her whole life and knows Roatan like the back of her hand. Meeting sloths and monkeys was incredible and the scenery on the island is breathtaking. Anderson tours is a great company with very nice employees. If you want a female tour guide, however, Shenelle is the only one at the moment (Nov 2023). Make sure to request her! Will be visiting Roatan again soon and possibly do another tour with Shenelle and Anderson Tours.
A great experience of Roatan
Amy_T, Nov 2023
We had a great experience with all staff along the way. Murphy did a great job driving us from place to place and answering any questions we had. The animal experience was a favorite. In addition to holding a sloth, we also got to interact with a couple different birds as well as monkeys. It was definitely memorable. The boat ride was also fun, and there was a restaurant nearby to purchase lunch. The rum factory was not much of a tour, but just a sample and opportunity to purchase. However, the view behind the rum factory was fantastic for photos. The chocolate tour had some education about processing as well as several different samples, with product to purchase as well. This was our favorite excursion on our cruise.
Skenzor

Skenzor our guide was fantastic, we will definitely recommend and ask for him next time. Made for a very enjoyable day.
