Not good - no “skip the line”

This was not a good tour. The title is false advertising- in no way is there any “skip the line” part of this tour. The line you wait in is long. Do not believe the “skip the line” part of this title as you will not be able to skip. Do not recommend!!

Wouldn’t recommend a guided tour

Our tour started 1hour later. We was then out with a small group as we was told we would. Then once we was just about to go in another tour guide said we had been put in the wrong group. So had to wait for another tour guide to come. When they arrived it was a huge group and we couldn’t hear a thing the guide was saying on the radios. We had a lot of children in the group so she was taking very childlike to keep the children entertained which is great for them and the parents but for adults it was hard to enjoy, learn the history and remain engaged. We left the tour after 20minutes.

Redemption point?!?

Trying to find the Redemption Point was ridiculous. We had already purchased tickets. What is the point? Nevertheless, Patricia, our tour guide, was great, very knowledgeable.

It was definitely better having a tour guide andbeing able to skip the long oine. The tour guide moved very quickly through the displays and didn't give time for photo opportunities

Very bad experience

Even though the tour guide was friendly, we spent the majority of the tour inside the coliseum when the attraction is outside looking at it. It was a waste of time. Also the tour company Crown Tour sucks, they don’t give you the actual ticket to go in because you’re in a “ group” so you can’t go to the Roman forum for example even though it uses the same ticket. We waited for an hour and half with a lot of misinformation under the sun with our baby just for them to give us the ticket. One of the crown tour guys was rude. I don’t recommend this.

We had a great time on the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us some interesting facts. The family went away googling for more information as it had sparked their interest in Roman history. The guide was good, although at times her speaking was very fast and combined with her accent some parts were hard to hear. It was easy to find the tour guides (this had been a worry) and good to skip the queues!

I booked my tour 2 months in advance and as I arrived, I was told that it was cancelled. They didn’t even bother to email me about it. I asked the representatives to refund my fee but they ignored my request completely. Therefore I was forced to join the tour later on and therefore all my plans were messed up on that day. I strongly advise not to use their services if you value your time in Rome.

We did the express tour and our tour guide, Lumi, was AMAZING! Not only was she great at speaking to the history of the Coliseum, but she had a hilarious sense of humor that made history worth standing on your feet for quite some time. We would definitely recommend this tour company (especially Lumi) for any tour within the Rome area. 10/10 experience!

Tour was overbooked

We arrived for our tour early and checked in, we were told our names were not on the list but there were 4 empty places, all good at this stage. We then proceeded to the departure point only to be told we were now leaving at 3:40 instead of 3:00 and our tour was over booked. After much backwards and forwards we were then booked on a tour the following morning. Very disappointed to say the least. Once we finally did our tour it was great.

Good for bypassing lines, but that is about it.

We booked this tour after our original tour operator cancelled. We liked that it was only meant to be an hour, with free time after to explore. It was great because we bypassed the long lines as promised. The tour guide was ok, but got off topic often and didn't give a lot of useful information on the actual colosseum or history. When we arrived, they offered to include us in the following tour to the other ruins nearby for only 5 euro each - good deal overall, even though we didn't follow the guide once inside. The problem was that our coloseum tour guide wasted so much time, that our hour tour actually went for 1.5 hours, which meant we lost our free time to explore on our own between tours, which was really disappointing.

Amazing tour guide!

Although summer mornings at the Colosseum are insane, this company handled things very professionally and even started the tour while we waited for minors to be checked in and while in line. Our tour guide (I feel terrible I cannot remember her name but she was of Japanese decent I believe) was phenomenal! I have been on 4 colosseum tours in the last 10 years and this was by far the best. Her English was perfect, she was funny and sweet and very concerned that we stay in the shade as it was over 100 F that day. Even my 18 year old cousin was engaged by the tour for the full hour. Absolutely delightful tour and I would recommend it to others.
