We are so glad we took this trip. At first we thought the day would be too long, but it was just the right amount of time. Our guides were efficient in getting us from place to place including at the train stations and were knowledgeable about the best things to see in Florence in one day. We were able to see all the highlights museum, top works, The David, etc. and still had free time to explore on our enjoy and enjoy the food and atmosphere of Florence. There was planned trip to a leather store which at first, I thought was a gimmick to get us to buy goods, but the explanation of Florence's history of leather making was interesting, brief and came with no pressure to buy. Remember there is a lot of walking on this tour, streets in Florence are hard to walk on so bring sturdy shoes. Also remember to keep up with the group. A couple walked too slowly and was left behind several times. Overall, highly recommended if you only have a day to see Florence.

Great day trip!
Hera_S, Apr 2024
Was able to spend so much time learning about the history of Florence and just spending the day strolling there!
Florence is a great place to visit!
Yomara_G, Mar 2024
This day trip to Florence was great. Although it was a bit pricey and did not include a visit to see Michelangelo’s David, I’m glad I went.
Beautiful

This was a blast! We had a lot of fun and the group leader was a very sweet lady who made sure we were safe and taken care of. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and Florence was beautiful.
Worst experience!
Grace_A, Jan 2024
We were a group of 9. 5 adults and 4 kids which was specified in our reservation. When we got to the meeting place the first guide gave me the tickets he didn’t check and there were only 7 tickets!!! Not to mention they were all scattered so we had to sit with our kids on our lap. We were looking for seats all over the train. Then on the return I tried to correct the situation at the train station ticket booth the guide didn’t help he went to the train and left us we almost missed the train! I will not book this again and I want a refund for the missing two tickets!!!

Organisation was excellent from start to finish. The tour guide in Florence was amazingly knowledgeable and her enthusiasm for the tour was plain to see.
Florence is a stunner!

My husband and I are staying in Rome (6 nights total) and decided we wanted to incorporate some day trips. I found this one and I am SO glad we went to this absolutely stunning city, Firenze! Our guides were fantastic, organized, efficient and knowledgeable. We got a tour of the Ufizzi Galery which was really great, and a couple of other quick outdoor stops and sights. I LOVED that we then got a few hours on our own to explore, eat, and shop. Highly recommend if you want to visit a beautiful place with a mix of guided tour + solo time.
Not a Good Experience
Sean_D, Sep 2023
Seeing Florence was on our bucket list when visiting Italy. The guide who met us at the beginning was wonderful but that’s where the highlight of the trip ends. Once we arrived in Florence, we were to be met by a local tour guide to take us around the city and through the Ugizzi Museum. Our guide did not show so they got another local person (Jovanni). We got 30 minutes in the city with him and were rushed out of the museum in leas than an hour. Our trip included entry into and tour of the Basilica Santa Maria Novella but we did not get this. Even though it was clearly included the trip details, we were not accommodated. Very disappointing experience with no resolution. I would avoid this tour company.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Dear Sean, we regret the inconvenience caused by the absence of the scheduled guide for the tour. However, Giovanni is another highly skilled guide who has been working with us for many years, and we are pleased that he was able to step in at the last moment. The walking tour of the historic center is approximately half an hour, and the visit to the Uffizi Gallery lasts about an hour, as Giovanni aims to showcase the museum's highlights – a more comprehensive tour would require an entire day, if not more. During this day tour from Rome, our goal is to also provide customers with some free time to explore the city on their own. Therefore, the itinerary is tightly packed, and all activities are meticulously scheduled. Regarding the Basilica di Santa Maria Novella, it is mentioned as a stop because it is passed on foot during the route from the Florence train station to the Duomo. However, a visit inside the Basilica has never been included. In fact, the tour page does not mention an interior visit to the church. We appreciate your understanding, and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further concerns or questions. We value your feedback, which helps us improve our services for future tours. Best regards, Gray Line Rome

Transport strike made us reach late since it took us over an hour walking to the location (usually only 8 minutes by cab) was the only option available to us.

The guide was great at highlighting the important pieces at the Uffizi Gallery thus allowing enough free time to explore Florence.
Our guides took good care of us each step of the way and even came and picked us up when we got lost during free time.
Dianne_T, Aug 2023
Our knowledgeable guide made sure I saw all the most famous pieces in the Uffizi gallery and shopping were fantastic.
Great day in Florence, and Rossella, our guide, was fabulous!
CharlesR_J, Aug 2023
Rossella was a wonderful guide. She took great care of us. We had a great day in Florence. Rossella even recommended a restaurant to us, and it had the best food we have had in Italy.
Phenomenal Florence day trip

Analisa was always nice and kind. Take care of us really good. She save me when I was lost. The local guide also very nice and experienced
So much to see, so little time.
Cindy_L, Nov 2019
Florence is beautifuland filled with art and history. The tour pointed our the hot spots. The highlights of the museum was great. We didn't get to spend much time in any one place. We just tried time see as much as possible in the short amount of time we had. We loan to return and stay a few days.

We had a wonderful day visiting. Our tour guide could have been a bit more professional, it's okay to be relaxed with clients, however I felt she was on a quest for personal time while not with us. Would have been nice to have her give us more ins and outs of the region we were in.
Rome to florence by high speed train
sharrop2000, Sep 2019
Museum waste of time, definitely not worth the 24 euros. Having 2 languages to translate slowed down the tour. Should have taken us to see David and not the museum. Our main tour guide was great and the lunch was good. The leather factory was way too e expensive.
FLORENCE AUGUST TRIP
RENATO_C, Aug 2019
Pickup was on time. The high-speed train was an hour late both coming and going. Florence was beautiful! The lunch was just horrible! Poor service and the food was poor quality and the brisket looked like dog food and tasted the same. The tour guide was unorganized and if it was not for a passenger they would have left us in the bathroom. We payed extra to see David. It was worth it! It is better to skip the lunch and pay your own lunch.

Relaxing and much enjoyed trip. A lovely and easy way to spend the day just getting a sample of Florence which is so beautiful.

Tour was excellent
Stephanie L, Jun 2019
The trip from Rome to Florence was great, we were handled well by our tour guide then handed off nicely to our guide while in Florence. It was informative and fun! Enjoyed lunch and the free time at the end of the day to do a little shopping.
Problems with Transportation
Richard_H, Jun 2019
Trip would have been excellent if transportation to and from train station would have been as advertised We had to get to the train station by ourselves after we were told that the tour company would pick us up at our hotel. Then when we got to the train station after a long day in Florence our tour guide told us that we would be able to get a cab easily and left us on our own. We had a two hour wait at least if we wanted to get a cab so my wife myself and our handicap daughter had to walk to our hotel exhausted and unfamiliar with the route to our hotel We arrived at our hotel at 11:00 PM.We can not recommend Viator after this situation.
