Disappointing experience
Mei_B, Aug 2023
I booked a guided tour of the Vatican museum + Sistine chapel. The tour guide did not show up (he had an emergency) so we were told we could still skip the line and enter with no tour and we would receive a refund due to not having a tour. We were able to enter and skip the line which was fine but only received a $14 refund which did not seem sufficient due to the lack of services (I paid about $76 for the whole experience). I would not recommend booking this tour!
Extremely disappointing.
Irene_L, Aug 2023
It was the most disappointing tour I have ever been on, in my 45 years of travel. The tour guide did not use her microphone properly and therefore almost everything was inaudible. She wore the microphone on her lapel and would speak in the opposite direction of the microphone. Every other tour guide that I observed held the microphone close to their lips. She also should not be used as an English speaking guide. Although her English was adequate when speaking to someone individually, her accent was so heavy it was very difficult to make out what she actually was saying. I learned absolutely nothing from the “guided” tour and would have been better off doing it on my own with a rented audio guide. I would give zero stars, but that wasn’t an option. A complete waste of money and my time!
Not a good experience, hard to follow and hear guide in crowded museum
Morgan_L, Aug 2023
Not enjoyable….museum was packed, was hard to follow the guide and hear her because connection was breaking up since we could not stay close enough... and it was hard to see everything with the overwhelming crowds and other guided groups. Overall stressful tour, we ended up leaving early. Tour guide was nice and knowledgeable, but overall not a good set up, especially with kids.
Tour was good

Good guide. Wait until after summer to visit. We had to stay in line although it went fast. No Vatican church included in your, extra money.
Definitely worth it

Mama Sabrina gave us an excellent tour. She was knowledgeable and guided us through the crowds with ease. It was highly informative and the sights were incredible. Definitely include St Peter’s Basilica, it was absolutely breathtaking. A bonus was we got to skip the line which is definitely worthwhile, especially on a hot summers day.
Unable to make changes to reservation
Jamie_N, Jul 2023
We were not able to edit our reservation. Customer service representative not available. We were not able to go during the time and date set, and couldn't make changes in the app or online. The Customer service number wasn't working. We wasted over $208, so we recommend using booking.com or Expedia services or travel agents.

Your lasts 3 hours aprox. Marta was very energetic and entertained us giving an introduction of Vatican path and the most important sites to make the visit last in my memory.

The guide was good, she was friendly and had a deep level of knowledge. The tour itself started 45 mins after the scheduled booking time. We questioned the operators a few times as we were waiting outside in the sun, they just told us to wait longer, then had us line up against the wall in the sun so they could count participants, felt like cattle being herded for the slater house.
Excelente
