It is impossible to enjoy this excursion. The crowds throughout the museum are horrible and even if there were less people you can’t appreciate anything in such a limited amount of time. The Sistine Chapel was so full with wall to wall people it was hard to enjoy

Not a good experience

We took this tour on a day when the Pope was in St. Peter's Square. For this reason, the tour ended earlier and we did not have direct access to the Basilica. Accessing it later, on our own, through the crowded square was hell. This is not the responsibility of the agency, naturally. The guide was fine, but due to the amount of people in the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel, we rushed around avoiding crowds. Not at all enjoyable. Since we were not going to have a part of the tour because the access was blocked, we could have had a quieter tour with more time to enjoy it.

Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Albina really made this tour for us. Her passion for both history and art was contagious. We learned so much and our perception of all that we saw was influenced by her sharing with us. The time flew by. If visiting Rome, this trip is well worth the cost.

Booked this tour prior to getting to Rome as we had been informed it can be busy. To start off with the company could update the details of where the start point is as the directions take you to the back of the building and not the front which makes it a little confusing, but not to worry as they inform you to be there 20 mins early and people help around the area. Our tour guide was a lady and she was extremely passionate and knowledgeable with everything regarding the Vatican and the basilica so she made the tour worth while as she pointed out a lot of the interesting facts and good things to look at making our life easy! The only downside to the tour is how busy it was, this has nothing to do with the booking or the company just the Vatican in general, our tour was 9am and it was choas the museums where that busy you where looking more at not walking into someone than the artifacts. This is the only down side, but it is a must see tour as the history, architecture along with everything else is unreal.

Do not ever book through this company. We went wanting to see the Sistine chapel and St. Peter’s basilica. We left the tour after 1 1/2 hours to find the Sistine chapel ourselves and then had no chance to see the basilica. The tour guide was not knowledgeable about the past and made numerous errors. Terrible tour.

How lucky we were to have Juliana, sorry if I misspell your name, as our guide !!! Remember that you are never alone in Vatican city, which means you might need some patience along the tour. Juliana took all of the detours to give us extra explanation and attention. We need a life time to see all of the Vatican's treasures, but thanks to our guide we still have dozzens of stories to tell when we get back home! Easy to find meeting place. TONS of tours going on at all time. Our guide was very thorough and had good communication, just a bit "too thorough" for some of my family as other tours were going much faster. Hard to complain though as many people may prefer the non-rushed pace. As mentioned though, great communication's throughout tour though and she would always share what was next and what to expect.
