What To Expect

Meet your fishing instructor at San Diego's Crystal Pier on Ocean Boulevard, where your fishing experience begins. There's no need to bring anything as your guide will come equipped with everything you need, including fishing poles and bait. Listen to your guide lead you through the ins and outs of fishing, from tying bait if you’re a beginner to perfecting your technique if you’re more experienced with angling. Cast your lines and wait until you get a bite. As this is a catch-and-release experience, you'll quickly unhook whatever you catch and return it safely to the waters below.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

TC was fantastic, he is very knowledgeable and helpful with everything for fishing off the Pier! I would recommend this to anyone looking to visit San Diego! We all caught fish and my son caught a shark!!!

Great morning fishing!

TC went above and beyond to help us get on the bite. He was set up early and used his vast knowledge of fishing to set us up in the right spots. We highly recommend if you are looking to get out and and reel in some fish. Kids had a blast.

We just finished our fishing experience with TC. This was such a great experience! My two boys, 12yr old and 5 yr old both caught fish, which was the highlight of the trip for them obviously. TC was a great guide. He was patient and fun. He clearly loves what he does. His energy transferred to those of us learning to fish. I loved that my boys also got to see a stingray, baby tiger shark, and a baby shovel nose shark caught by others on the pier. My family and I would do this trip again.

Diego and TC were excellent guides….friendly and helpful. Needed to get a line in the water bad on a family vacation and this was the perfect solution. Son landed a ray and a nice size spotted bass. A couple other smaller fish rounded out the morning and kept things lively. Recommend these guys!

Honestly not worth it. He pretty much dose everything for you (puts the bait on, cast out, if the fish is on he’ll reel it in for you and then give you the rod to continue to bring in fish, and repeats the process and tells you to just leave the rod alone) .it’s just better if you get the one day California fishing license and taking your own rod and bait and go on your own.
