Total disappointment!

It was a total disappointment & waste of money! Waited so long for the next bus after dropping off at one stop. When the next bus arrived, it was a totally run down bus! The exterior of the bus was horrible & the seats are loose & slanted. We were having backache sitting on those chairs! Horribly horrible! The bus did not ply certain destinations as advertised! It was a ripped off! Should have chosen Big Bus. They have so many buses plying the same attractions & the buses looked new & clean.

As many have noted, the equipment is a little old and the seats aren’t the most comfortable (fine for a 2-hour tour), but our driver/guide was good and the tour was enjoyable! As others have mentioned, there are no signs that designate their 20 stops…. So unless you start at the beginning, you won’t know where to catch the bus along the route.

Waste of Money and time

Waited nearly 1 hours for the Bus. No signs in street, only one of three routes were covered. Bus nearly falling apart. Missed some really important Sightseeing. Couple of time stopping for 10+ minutes = wasting time. Paid 115+ USD for a Family= waste of Money and time, that could have spent it better elsewhere.

Can't comment because the trip was cancelled due to bad weather, which is beyond the operator's control. However, I must commend the customer service for the good job in keeping us informed well ahead of the scheduled trip via Whatspp & email. Thanks & keep it up!

Overpriced and hugely disappointing

Dirty and scruffy. Deluxe? What a joke. Stops very poorly signed. Couldn’t find two of them at all. Hugely frustrating. Buses didn’t start until 10.30 although website said 10.15. Finished far too early at 4pm although there was no information about this on the leaflet. All in all an overpriced and hugely disappointing experience

I purchased a 2 day pass. Day 1, long wait times due to busses broke down. Long wait times for pickups, several phone calls. Day 2, much better. Will say, the buss trip over the Golden Gate was great!

I purchased the two days pass and the first day was great but I was unaware that the second day the buses were not running. Would’ve been nice to know the hours and days of operation before purchasing. With that being said, the first day was fun but I would’ve tried to hit all the spots since the second day was useless.

Mixed Bag

A mixed review. The drivers / guides were EXCELLENT! and were the redeeming feature of the tour. Sadly the buses are quite old and weathered and seats were wet when we first arrived (probably wouldve taken 3 minutes to grab a towel and wipe them over before guests got on board). The buses (on a Sunday) definitely werent 30 minutes apart. We stopped at one stopped for a bathroom break and literally went into the bathroom and back out and the next bus was over an hour and a half later (meaning we essentially lost an hour of the day literally waiting for the bus). In hindsight, with only two stops, we couldve ubered to the areas we wanted to see for cheaper than the price paid for the family and had far more time in between (once again the only saving grace in this instance were the energetic and amusing guides)

The tour started really late ( at 12 ) and finishes at 4 pm which doesn’t give you much time to see much. The first bus driver was terrible - picked us up at Union square and drove with no information and didn’t inform us that it was a shuttle to Fisherman’s Wharf where the tour starts - I had to ask him and he said he was on his phone which is why he didn’t inform us . When the tour did start he didn’t stop at the designated stops - told us we have to wave for him to stop , which he didn’t see and didn’t stop anyway . At Lombard street I actually had to yell for him to stop and when i told him I asked him to stop he said he didn’t see and doesn’t stop at every stop . I am only giving 2 stars because I called the main office to report him and they put me with a better driver though . They also don’t stop at every stop which means there’s no regular pick up times either 😞 Needs to improve how they operate . Why advertise all these stops if you can’t stop there and also what happens if you do get off and the next bus doesn’t stop Not very well run Poor show for the expensive $65 they charge Asked for a refund but they could only give me another day

San Francisco hop on hop off tour

The first part of our trip had no narration. The driver was awesome for the last half of our day. It wasn’t very clear where to ‘hop back’ on the bus. It had all the major stops but doesn’t actually get you close enough for a big ones to get a great picture, (unless you get off and wait another 45 min for a returning bus…..like palace of fine arts and painted ladies on Alamo It did stop for 10 min at the vista site across the golden gate and that was great!

Iffy time intervals

We were given conflicting times on the pick ups at each stop. You were not given consistent time intervals making hopping off an iffy proposition as if you would get to hop on again! The. Company also deleted some stops without notice. We had to walk 40 minutes to catch the bus at the next stop.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. Bought 2 day ticket expired after day 1. After speaking to numerous people we eventually managed to get a tour bus at 4pm from Fisherman’s Wharf. Wish we hadn’t bothered as traumatised by experience. Bus old with smashed window and really dirty. Bus driver missed half tour out. Learned nothing of San Fransisco through tour bus. Guide unclean and unkempt slept through tour waking up few times to ask passengers where we were. Guide got off bus before end saying he was going to work. Guide gets off bus with bottom hanging out trousers. Kids on bus. Don’t touch them.
