What To Expect

Discover the natural beauty of El Yunque National Park on this half-day tour from San Juan. Enjoy a more intimate experience with a small group of just 14 travelers and the convenience of having your transfers, entrance fees, and bottled water included.

Start your morning with pickup from your San Juan, Condado, or Isla Verde hotel, airport, or port and travel to the park in an air-conditioned vehicle. Along the way, learn about the history, culture, and cuisine of Puerto Rico.

At the first stop, enjoy views of the La Coca Waterfall. The next stop will be at the Yokahu Tower, where you can admire panoramic views of the forest and the east side of Puerto Rico. At the last stop, a short walk along a nature trail will take you to one of the many rivers in the park, where you can enjoy a swim during good weather.

The driver was simply amazing and extremely knowledgeable. It was our fist time in Puerto Rico and he was able to answer all questions. El Yunque is indeed a must do, beautiful and so peaceful. Driver recommended places to eat which were amazing.

A beautiful experience that is worth checking out. We had Louie as our tour guide, and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience in the tours. He also has a lot of fun stories. Tour itself was great, learned a lot of interesting facts from when we got picked until we got dropped off. The rainforest was amazing and the water felt great, not too cold. The observation tower was a great chance to see a lot of the island and over the whole rainforest, great for photos as well! Unfortunately the slide area was closed for us, but the new area was just as good, less busy even.

Our guide was Rafal, he was on time when he picked us up, he had a large amount of knowledge of the El Yunque and of the history of San Juan, which I appreciate. He also took us around San Juan to look at the murals, which were beautiful.

It was our first time visiting the island and we wanted to visit El Yunque during our stay. Louie was an excellent tour guide. He drove us around and a few different points of interest and gave us time to explore as he described the area. Would highly recommend this tour to family and friends when they come to visit.

This was the highlight of our 5 day vacation. Issac was a great tour guide and our small group got along very well. We brought our 3 month old on the hike and everyone was so welcoming and supportive. He hit all the highlights of the rainforest so I don’t feel like we missed a thing.

I was surprised that there was no wildlife in the forest except 300+ species of birds. We could hear the birds but never saw a single one. We enjoyed the flowers that were in bloom. The coach was comfortable and the driver was well educated in the culture.

We had the best day with Issac in the rainforest! He was so knowledgeable and easy going. Didn’t make us feel rushed and yet we feel like we did so much in a short amount of time! We picked this tour because we didn’t want to do the zip lines or “water slide” and were very happy we did. 10/10!

We join this El Yunque tour by Best Puerto rico tour in Easter Sunday 2024. Albany, the drive guide , was superb and helpful. He explained the history of Puerto Rico on the way to the park, managed the time effectively and we returned to San juan with ample time to do shopping . Highly recommeded!
Disappointed in El Yunque

The tour guide acted more as a driver than a tour guide. It was like taking a taxi.. He didn’t come with us up the tower or at the watering hole. He did some explaining on the way to el Yunque but said nothing on the return trip to the hotel. He also had his 9 year old son on the tour which I felt was a distraction. We felt rushed at the 3 stops on the tour. The tour company should consider hiring people that are more naturalists and are familiar with the jungle environment. Lastly, the lunch stop was a loud roadside stand that had greasy over cooked items. I would not recommend this tour.

Thanks for taking the time to review! We run on a schedule and tour time is approximately 5 hours from pick up to drop off, so we cannot be all day long at any of the stops, we spent a decent amount of time at every stops which by your review the guide did the 3 stops offer, the rainforest is not a jungle since no large mammals are native to it. As advertised we stop at a local place for lunch, Puerto Rican culture we eat a lot of deep fried! After lunch is normally way back and we put some music or interact with each other, some people take a nap and get drop off at meeting point. Sorry you didn’t like it and last but no least. You don’t recommend this tour but anyone reading this Review if you’re like Leonard! Please do not book with us! With alll due Respect

Isaac was a fantastic guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the plants, trees and wildlife and made sure we all had fun! He made the experience interactive encouraging us to take in the smells and the sights. We had varying physical fitness levels in our group and he made the trip accessible and enjoyable for all. El Yunque is beautiful and our lunch was delicious. My only recommendation would be that attendees bring water shoes for the swim in the natural pond. It’s magnificent but rocky. Those with water shoes had the best experience on that part of the excursion. Two big thumbs up!

We had a fantastic day. My husband was dubious about the tour but he made friends with Rafael, our tour guide even before we knew he was our guide. The river was fun and we learned so much about the history of Puerto Rico and the culture. I would recommend the tour and our tour guide to everyone!!

We enjoyed our experience although it was raining. That did keep us from enjoying the river swim. We did get some good pictures from the top of the tower. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tour is geared towards an introduction to El Yunque.
