Malcolm was such an amazing tour guide. He was so knowledgeable, kind and helpful. El Yunque was beautiful! Malcolm made sure we were safe and took some great pictures for us. The waterfall slide and pool were such fun and relaxing. Luquillo Beach was also beautiful. We had a wonderful swim in the warm ocean and yummy Puerto Rican food. Malcolm made a stop at a local bakery on our way back. Definitely the best part of the tour. JK!

Malcom is a fantastic guide and very accommodating. He was willing to meet us at our preferred pickup location. The trip to the natural rock water slide and swimming area was very fun and exactly what we had hoped for. The beach he took us to was gorgeous with a number of local food vendor options.

If you are looking to go to El Yunque for natural water slides and rock jumps, look no further. Malcolm is awesome. He will provide information on the ride there in an Air Conditioned Vehicle and talk with you about anything you want. He was very knowledgeable and social. The rain forrest was very cool. It's not a long walk but can be a little tiring. I'd call it the low end of moderate. We had our kids 6 and 11, both swimmers. This is a private (or semi private depending on a few factors) tour. Malcom responded to inquiries prior to our trip quickly and also updated us prior to arriving so we knew how to identify him. His price was also very fair compared to my research of other reputable companies. The beach was quiet and was not busy. Crystal blue waters with shops and restaurants along the strip. I highly recommend this tour and especially Malcolm.

Due to a last-minute cancellation, it ended up being just my 66-year-old mother and myself on this tour with Malcolm. I cannot say enough about how kind and helpful he was to us. On the lovely drive out to El Yunque, he gave us some fascinating background about the area and patiently answered all of our questions. My mom was very nervous about getting down to the waterslide area, and Malcolm held her hand for basically 99% of the time, showing her exactly where to go and not rushing or pressuring her. We relaxed at the swimming area for probably 20-30 minutes, and Malcolm helped me go down the smaller slide a couple of times. We then stopped at Luquillo Beach, likely the most beautiful beach I've ever seen, and (during the same stop) grabbed lunch from one of the kiosks there. We were back at our hotel around 4 hours later, feeling that we had a much better sense of the island thanks to our amazing tour guide. Book with Malcolm--you'll be so glad you did!

Malcolm was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable, accommodating and knew the area well. We did a great tour of the rainforest, and the natural water slides and rocks. We then went to a beautiful beach where there was also lunch. It was a great day, and everyone had so much fun.

Malcolm (tour guide) was very friendly which is why i'm givning 3 stars but honestly this was not worth the price. you can drive up there yourself for much cheaper. It was a watering whole and then taken to a strip mall at the beach. Not bad, just not worth the price for the experience.

Hello Jenne. Sorry to hear that. I do want to clarify 2 things. Your family happened to be staying in Luquillo 5 minutes away from the first Location. The other 95% of the people that do this Tour are staying in San Juan which is 1 hour to get to the place and 1 hour back. The second thing is that you call me at 7 am 2 hours before the start of the excursion to cancel because your sister was sick. Instead of me just collecting the money because there would be no refund I was kind enough to tell you to call me later on in the day if she felt better. Which she did and we ended up staring the Tour at 1pm because of that. On this Tour you're kids had wonderful time. I'm completely confused by your review

Malcom was such a great guide! He taught us a lot about the area and community on our drive and took us to some beautiful spots on the island. We saw an adorable snail on a tree and learned about different plants in the rain forest along the hike.

Malcolm was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about Puerto Rico. Our group of 5 was the only one on the tour that afternoon, and Malcom was able to personalize it to what we wanted to see and do. Highly recommend, especially for small groups!

Beware, NOT El Yunque National Rainforest

I am giving one star because this is NOT a tour in the El Yunque National Rainforest. We were taken to Las Paylas, a private property with two natural waterslides, one big and one tiny. There is a small fee to the owner of the property. There is no hiking. Some of the rocks are slippery. There are no steps, ladders, or boardwalks around the waterslides. The guide did not offer life jackets or helmets. If you would like to visit, just take a taxi. The Luquillo beach is a nice beach next to a strip mall with restaurants and souvenir shops. Again, it would be simpler to just take a taxi.

Hello! We are sorry your experience wasn't what you were expecting. Once again, we want to clarify that Las Paylas, the river and area we visit, is a part of El Yunque. This means it is a protected environment and therefore it can't be altered. For instance, we have natural rock waterslides that make it impossible for there to be ladders or boardwalks like you mentioned above. When it comes to safety, I am the only company that offers helmets for the tour. And the lifejackets are available for people that don't swim, which wasn't your case. Both things are always available and it's the client's choice to use them or not. On the other hand, this tour is not advertised as a hiking tour. Actually, when you check the reviews, most people mention that they chose this specific tour because it only involves a really short hike. I've been doing this tour for about seven years and through Viator for about one. Your trip is the only one where I did not receive a 5 star review, and it was even done on Christmas Day.

Excellent Tour

The tour with Malcolm was everything we expected and more. On our tour date no other families booked for that date, so we had a private tour. Malcolm asked our interest and we were able to tailor the tour tour what we wanted to see the most. Even though the rain prevented us from visiting the river, we were able to visit a lookout tower and go on a short hike in the rainforest. We highly recommend Malcolm and his company if you were looking for a tour while visiting Puerto Rico.

Malcolm was excellent! I saw all the 5-star reviews, booked and it’s all true. He is awesome and a great guy. The half day trip was cool, not much rainforest. You just walk down a path to the waterfall, go down a couple times and then swim a little. Then drive to Luquillo beach. Grab some food and chill. Very simple day and I would do other trips with Malcolm next time. Definitely book with him, you won’t regret it!

Malcolm was a great tour guide. There was only 4 of us during the tour which made it more enjoyable for us all. I’m not a strong swimmer so life vests were provided during the water portion of the tour. I had an excellent time . Book with Malcolm guys !!!
