Begin your journey with insightful visits to the Bridge of Freedom and Mangbaedan Altar, setting the stage for the Korean War's narrative. Venture into the Third Tunnel, an imposing invasion tool, before continuing to Dora Observatory, which offers a panoramic view of North Korea.

Then, choose to visit one of two bridges: take a short hike to the Gamaksan Chulleong Suspension Bridge, a 500-foot (150-meter)-long structure with historical significance, or the Lake Majang Bridge, where allied forces fought battles during the Korean War. Your tour ends with a return to Seoul.

Not worth a full day's trip

The tour was a little boring not much to see, the 3rd tunnel is small so if your tall it will be uncomfortable. No itinerary so you find out where your going as you go. The bridge get crowded quickly, we arrived early but after just 20mins the bridge was full of people taking pictures. Not worth a full day's trip.

Best Tour Ever

This was the best tour! The third tunnel was my favorite part, but it is very strenuous. Make sure you are in decent shape to make the descent. Our tour guide, Jun, was amazing. He was informative, fun, and made sure we knew what was going to happen before we got to each location. There was fog, so we couldn’t see too far at the Dora Observatory, but it was still a fun experience. Highly recommended this tour!

Informative, charming, funny, and excellent tour guide. Gave a personal native perspective of the history behind the Korean War. Discussed the poignant treatment of the Comfort Woman and how their voices were finally heard decades later. Dennis explained about the symbolism behind many of the key sites and easily managed a really large group of about 42 people. He is articulate and very personable.

This tour was fantastic. Just the right balance of history and nature. Julie was absolutely fantastic. Her attention to detail and great sense of humour really elevated the experience. Don’t forget your water! Lots of walking involved, the bridge is nice and leisurely with only a small amount of time spend walking uphill. The tunnel is a long, steady but gradual incline. It’s tough but not as hard as you are lead to believe, well worth the visit!

Excellent tour by tour guide Cool

The whole DMZ tour was guided and organised excellently by PLK Travel and tour guide Cool. It wasn’t too difficult to find the starting point at 7:00. We did leave about 12 minutes later and Cool said that only 50 touring cars are allowed in daily. Fortunately our bus was one of the first 50 and during the day there were no big issues. We visited all the destinstions outlined in the tour description and even more than that. Also there was a little shop where we were able to buy some North Korean money which is a unique souvenir as part of this tour. The suspension bridge gave us a nice view on nature where we started. Afterwards we had to wait and spent some time on visiting historical bunkers, locomotive and bridges just outside DMZ. For lunch they have a building full of small restaurants with both Korean and Western food. After lunch we went into DMZ to visit the third tunnel (pretty intense workout!) unification village, Dora observatory hall which offers good view on North Korea with flags, villages and command post and in between there were numerous shops for souvenirs and snacks. It took about 75 minutes driving with bus from Seoul to DMZ and vice versa. We had beautiful with clear sunlight so we were able to see everything we wanted to see! Thank you, Cool! You have done very well!

My husband and I joined the DMZ tour with Julie. She is attentive and informative and brought a lot of fun to our group. Julie provided us with a lot of history and background on DMZ in perfect English and even taught us some commonly used Korean, which was much appreciated. She made our tour in Korea so memorable, and Julie is a gem! I would strongly recommend anyone to her group!

The day was an amazing experience, the DMZ and tunnel was so fascinating. The observation Deck and Suspension Bridge was also so worthwhile. We were really lucky with the weather and even luckier with our tour guide, Julie. She was truly a font of knowledge, really engaging and clearly passionate about her role as a guide.
