Beautiful hike, overlooking amazing Amalfi coast. It’s a must do! Our tour guide Giovanni was super nice, very knowledgeable in history and agriculture of the area. Although it was a super hot day, we enjoyed it! Thank you for making it a fun day for us.

This is a must do.....for all ages. My mother (80s) and me (60s) definitely enjoyed this tour. Through at times difficult and scary...out guide Roberto made sure we were all safe and assisted when needed...which was often. Beautiful views. Reliable tour group...and very responsive.

This place is one of the most beautiful on earth, I have traveled a lot and this one is my favorite now. Nino our guide was amazing!!! If you are in a good shape please do it, you will give yourself the full senses experience.

Incredible views walking the ancient path in the hills above the Amalfi coast roadway. Nino our guide was full of information and good cheer. The stop at the shepard’s structure with homemade cheeses and bread was an unexpected treat. A must do hike while in Sorrento and Amalfi.

Amazing!! There are several steps and small climbs but fairly easy hike. Highly recommend hiking shoes or sneakers. The guide was very knowledgeable and stopped at a local farmer for a snack. It is a long ride to get to the starting point but was worth it to stay in Sorrento.

Communication not good…..

The hike was great….the communication as to where we were to be picked up was frustrating. We called & luckily the person answering spoke English & I explained we weren’t given the correct place to be picked up. They sent their driver over to get us. The hike was good…

Beautiful views, not an easy walk so if you are not used to walking 10km you may be holding back the group on this walk. A few steep climbs and some tricky footwork on the way down. If you are used to hiking this will not be a challenging walk but it will be a perfect walk for pictures. Stop at the shepherd’s house for a light lunch was well worth it.

Guide had so much knowledge and history of the region, local delicious .food at shepherds house, guide took our picture at the best photo spot! The views were amazing the entire hike! We hiked a 4 mile loop. Saw pigs,goats,donkey, Falcons. Loved it all!

Amazing hike!! Highly recommend. The guide was wonderful and it was easy to find the meeting point and they were right on time picking us up and bringing us back. The views were stunning! Along the way you get to have some fresh produce and cheese from the local Shepard and it was the best cheese I’ve ever had in my life!

The hike was good. What I expected - a little rugged but manageable. Hiking pole helped. The views were terrific. Our guide had us at a pacethough that you couldn't stop to take a look or camera pic. Kudos though as our bus broke down en route to the hike and they got another bus up the mtn and us on our way pretty quickly.

A wonderful experience

We enjoyed listening to the history of the Path and stopping along the way admiring the beautiful views. We had a wonderful lunch which we enjoyed with our fellow group members which gave us the chance to introduce ourselves to each other and find out more about each other. All in all a wonderful experience. A special mention to Gianni and Chiro who were both amazing guides.

Fun in the Sun

This was such a fun experience! The hike itself is moderate difficulty; you do need a good pair of athletic shoes or hiking shoes and some water, especially if it’s sunny and warm out! The heat and sun was the only thing that made this hike challenging the day we did it. We had a group of 10/12 people and 2 guides. Giovanni and his colleague were phenomenal! They both had little bits of information to share throughout the hike. We also got to stop at a small farm and the owner brought us out fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, fresh goat cheese, bread, honey, and watermelon-all items from his farm or neighboring farms. Overall, a fantastic experience! Just a heads up, the trail is quite dusty; you will get a bit dirty from that.

Breathtaking Views with a great guide

Nino was fantastico!! His knowledge of the local fauna was incredible. I didn’t realize all the herbs that grew in the wild there. He had us eating the fresh oregano, thyme, mint and others. The views of the valleys were amazing. I am not a hiker but would easily sign up for Nino and his trip again.

This is just a short loop not hiking the full path. You are served a snack not lunch. It’s a beautiful tour just not advertising truthfully. Also you walk slow, my watch kept thinking my workout stopped.

The itinerary is the one that you joined from Nocelle, so there there is no discrepancy between what is advertised and what you effectively did... What a great day. The views are amazing and the guides were very knowledgeable of the history of the area. The guides were also very respectful of the capabilities of the group with rest points in the shade. Good to share the walk with like minded people. If u thinking to book … do it !!

Okay, but a little misleading

We enjoyed our guide, but the rest of the experience was underwhelming from a tour perspective. The views are incredible, but the hike only does a portion of the path. We had the option to continue on solo into positano and then find our own transportation back to sorrento or just do a small loop of the path and have the transportation we paid for. Since there were no views of positano on the actual loop with the guide, we decided to continue on solo. Overall, it was an okay experience, but the intent of the tour was misleading.

A bit disappointed

For me the trek was a little faster paced than I was expecting with little time to take in the views. Photo stops were minimal although this could have been due to the fact that the mountain was in cloud all morning and no views were available. Even so, I still would have liked to have had more time to soak in the mountain and see the flowers and the few ruins we saw on the way. It was also quite difficult in places. Lots of rocky high steps up and down. I had a walking pole which helped a lot. The stop at the shepherd’s hut for tomato, cheese, bread, honey and wine was lovely. I’m glad I did the walk and would recommend doing it. If you are game enough to do it on your own, or with a private guide, I think you would get a better experience and take it at your own pace.

Although not a surprise, after reading other reviews, the visit to the shepherd's hut for bread, cheese and tomatoes gave a real sense of authenticity to the visit to the area. Nino's descriptions and explanations of local farming practice were helpful and the identification of wild plants useful to those not familiar with them.

The entire day was very pleasant! From pick up to drop off, our guide Nino was a true pleasure. In addition to being super knowledgeable he was very patient, polite and humorous! The trail provided spectacular views and a nice aerobic workout while enjoying some local cuisine and libation from Shepard’s house. Fantastic Day!! Gracious!!
