A great day! Our family of four (incl 2 young adults) very much enjoyed this excursion. It was a good balance of sight seeing and activity. We began with some native animal watching in a reserve to see sloths, birds, frogs, snakes and butterflies. Next we moved to the Rio Celeste for a 4km fun, relaxing, and refreshing tubing ride in beautifully blue waters. After tubing we enjoyed a local style lunch with chicken, rice, beans and plantains. Then, we drove to the Parque National Volcan Tenorio and hiked approx 1.5km to see a stunningly blue waterfall. A beautiful sight to be seen. Last, we stopped at some local shops to pick up some gifts and local art. Our guide Michelle and driver Fabio we very accommodating and truly enjoyable to be with all day. We highly recommend the tour for any family looking for some outdoor fun and activity.

The day was wonderful. Nicole and our driver were great and pointed out great things as we drove along. The sanctuary guide found so many amazing animals and amphibians for us to see. The tubing was amazing and the best end to the day. The travel is long but worth it to see all the magnificent sights. Thanks for a fabulous adventure.

Best family adventure day

This was one of the most amazing days my family had in Costa Rica! If you love adventure I highly recommend adding this to your must do list! The hike to the Rio Celeste waterfall was great and we saw lots of wildlife. The tubing down the river was so much fun! Listening to the rainforest sounds while floating down the river that is a beautiful blue colour is an experience I won't forget! The small rapids were exciting and we were all laughing and smiling the whole time! Our tubing guide Hansel was great! He helped us anytime we got stuck and guided us down the river. We stopped half way to swim at a calm spot and he dug out some volcanic ash for us to use as a face mask! Our guide Wilton was very friendly and so knowledgeable about everything! We had a delishious traditional meal at a local place before heading back. I would definitely do this tour again!

Winton and Miguel were super guides today. We loved seeing the various areas of Costa Rica. The waterfall and hike to it were fabulous and we saw a toucan and a viper! The tubing was fabulous!! So beautiful! And lunch was delicious. Winton truly went above and beyond.

The hike to the waterfall was the perfect length through the rainforest. The river tubing was a blast!!! Don’t expect much from the volcano segment of this tour. We just drove by them from a distance.

Our guide Wilton was so much fun! He made our trip amazing, and over the top! The river rafting with all of his guide guys was more than we expected !!!! SO much fun! We loved every bit of this tour. The waterfall was beautiful! And Wilton was so patient with all of us up and down the stairs! We love this kid!

An amazing trip to magical places. Saw some lazy bears, toucan, vipers and frogs. Stunning walk to Rio Celeste and an fun time tubing in the blue water. Kelman our guide was amazing went out of his way to make sure when had the best experience and always trying to find animal and share his knowledge with us. The lunch was amazing also. Was unlike any tour had in the past and being a private tour was very relaxing and tailored to our family. This was definitely the highlight of the trip. Thank you for this experience I hope many others can experience blue zone and this beautiful locations. Well worth the cost.

We had the best time with our kids ages 24, 19, 17 and 4. The nature tour was and beautiful. Winston was our guide and was very friendly and always found cool things for to see that we would have never caught with our own eyes. The waterfall was definitely a hike but it is the prettiest one I've ever seen. We didn't get to go tubing because our youngest one got a stomach ache but they were very accommodating to our needs and took us home. Would recommend for nature lovers.

A Must Do!

MUST DO! We all had a great time in Tamarindo but this excursion was the cherry on top. We were able to see sloths, monkeys, parrots, frogs! The tubing was definitely the highlight lots of laughs and fun all the way down. Stopped for lunch at a local spot which was also amazing. You have to do this, its worth every penny.

Our best day in Costa Rica...hands-down

We booked the Rio Celeste, tubing, wildlife + lunch excursion as a last-minute add-on while we were in Costa Rica. And we are so, so grateful we did! This was hands-down our absolute best day in Costa Rica, and was the absolute best experience we could've had right from the start. From the moment I received the confirmation of the tour, the tour company's operator Andreas, was extremely communicative and friendly. He was able to work with our tour guide, Juan Carlos, right away when we found out we had a scheduling conflict and needed to be picked up a little later than expected. We were so grateful they were able to be flexible with us on our pick up time. I can't say enough great things about Juan Carlos and his knowledge and enthusiasm for all things wildlife, plant-life, eco-system-life, and everything environment-related. From the second we met him, he was enthusiastic and incredibly welcoming to us. He used every moment possible to share something interesting about what we were seeing, whether pointing out the monkey bridges on our drive, telling us about the towns we were driving through, even making an awesome last-minute stop on our way home to point out toucans in trees! And that was just the car ride! His knowledge and enthusiasm did not waiver the entire day - he really used every moment possible to share something exciting and interesting with us. One of our stops included seeing sloths, frogs, and a viper he spotted wrapped around a branch. This was a beautiful experience, to see the animals up close and in their habitat. The other people we met there who helped spot the animals were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our second stop was the Rio Celeste waterfall, a breath-taking waterfall that is an absolute must-see if you're in Costa Rica. The hike there and back is no joke and my legs were still shaking a bit even after lunch! It's a moderate walk to the waterfall that includes some elevation and 247 steps down to the waterfall's base. The 247 steps back up...that took a minute for me, but it was so, so worth it. Our family, each of us, including the 10, 13 and 16 year-old were in awe of the waterfall's beauty. We ate lunch in a local restaurant with the friendliest people. Their cancer-juice (I'm sorry I completely forgot the actual name) was the best-tasting juice I've ever had - you have to try it. They blend it with ice and it's the most refreshing drink after that hike! After our lunch we headed to the tubing experience and the weather totally cooperated to keep the river blue during our tubing ride. It was amazing to be tubing down the Rio Celeste's blue water in the middle of a rainforest. Wow! Seeing giant trees canopy above us while we floated - at times - pretty rapidly down the river was beautiful. The tubing itself was a lot of fun. The water was moving and there were some fast rapids at times which made it exciting. Our guy Daniel on the tube experience was there to help get us unstuck from some of the more shallow, rocky parts of the river. Definitely watch your butt on this one - those boulders in the water aren't moving out of your way! This was an all-day experience and we were tired, but it was the best day we had in Costa Rica, and are so grateful we did it! Huge thanks to Juan Carlos for being amazing and really making this an incredible experience for us!

Cette excursion était magique! Notre guide parlait très bien anglais. La chute d'eau était à couper le souffle et notre guide nous a donné plein d'informations intéressantes durant la randonnée. Le tubbing était amusant et sécuritaire. Nous avons vu des paresseux, des toucans, des singes, etc. Le repas du midi était délicieux et de l'eau ainsi que des collations étaient fournies. Apporter des vêtements pour la pluie dans la jungle, des vêtements pour la rivières et des vêtements secs. Vous pourrez laisser vos choses dans le véhicule vérouillé.
