The itinerary for this tour includes some locations that are not accessible by a wheelchair or stroller.
Please note that we are unable to guarantee allergy-free or cater to dietary restrictions as the food is prepared in kitchens that do not belong to MagicalTrip. Additionally, there may be instances where substitutions are not possible at certain stops; however, we will make every effort to compensate at different stops throughout the tour.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Fun way to spend the afternoon!

Really fun tour that helped us get through a pretty overwhelming part of the city! We checked out several shops with lots off animae products, learned the history of the area, and were able to get a grip on navigating the neighborhood. Wasn't sure what to expect with the maid cafe, but it was soooooo much fun! If you're a geek visiting Tokyo, this is totally worth your time!

Amazing time! Eye was a perfect tour guide! She was so much fun. I loved her! She made us all feel right in and she was amazing and very insightful! I wish it was all day. She was dope! And super super super fun. Huzzah for Eye!

Not very interesting at all

Not impressed at all, over half of the tour wasted walking up flights of stairs in pokey, dingey, over packed old shops, so to me not good at all. The maids cafe was the last 60 mins of the tour and again not great. Would not recommend this at all, unless it is pouring with rain.

We had a great time touring Akihabara with our guide Taka. We ventured into the neighborhood and were shown fun local shops we wouldn’t have found on our own including one with original Nintendo and other games. The highlights of our tour were the HEY arcade and the maid cafe. Taka was so kind and helpful with reservations and translating for us. He also took lots of photos for us. It’s a fun part of town and must visit while in Tokyo!

This tour was awesome! We got to see so many cool and retro gaming and anime shops all over this part of the city. The maid cafe was so much fun and a great experience you just have to see to believe. Tommy was a great guide, super funny and friendly. He engaged with all of us and catered to our interests while sharing some of his own.

SKIP THE TOUR! We prepaid the tour and were unable to go. Long story short, the tour operator kept our money and did not offer to reschedule or refund. Buyer beware of this tour operator. Instead, just go down to Akihabara on your own. There are dozens of anime stores and electronic stores that you can wander through. Save your money and just go by yourself and explore.

Wonderful Otaku Culture Experience

We had a wonderful experience going through the streets of Akihabara! Reena our guide showed us the wonderful places where we can get our favorite Manga and anime treasures. She also explained to us the history and significance of the place. And the highlight of our tour, which was the Maid Cafe, gave us a totally new experience, as it gave us a feel of the wonderful world of anime life-size!

Tommy and Asahi were exceptional guides. Took our family to so interesting stores that we would not have found on our own. They were respectful and kind and really interested in chatting and getting to know your interests. Our daughter loved them both so much. Cannot praise either of them enough. Such a fun time and interesting show about the area.

I personally thought Akhibara was overrated. There are plenty of stores but they all sell the same overpriced figurines next to porn and outdated tech. Having a guide didn't help as much as I hoped it would be. He was a really nice guy but his English could use some work and he kept leading us from one store to another using a navigation app (!) without explaining anything or bargaining for better deals. I guess googling "best akhibara stores" would have been a better use of my time, though I ended up finding beter merch outside of Central Tokyo.

Guide was a no-show. We waited outside of Electric Town exit at Akihabara Station. There was nobody holding an orange sign. How can I get a refund? I feel totally cheated! We wasted a whole day planned around this tour!
