The guide waits with a name sign just outside the ticket gate of the JR Marunouchi North Exit of Tokyo Station. This is the JR exit, not the metro exit. The start time is 18.00 (6 PM). Rarely the start time becomes 19.00 (7 PM), if so, you will be notified by Viator message and via WhatsApp.

Maik gave a great tour full of history, scary tales, and insights into Japanese culture. Would recommend this tour for adults, but some of the stories might be too dark for younger audiences.

An unique and very interesting tour. Places that are not on the comon turist maps. My guide, Mike, is the best guide so far. He is funny, has a keen eye for making you confortable during the tour. I strongly recomand both the tour and the guide; you wont be dissapointed.

Few supernatural stories

Throughout the four hour tour we only heard a handful of stories. The product’s title felt misleading as the stories were mainly about death and not the supernatural. It also felt more like we paid to ride around the subway while small talking with our guide. Our subway fare was not included, like the fine print said. The tour guide was a nice guy.

We were looking for a tour that was a different than the typical tourist spots, and this was perfect! A little spooky and lots of places we would have never seen otherwise. The tour guide was excellent, he had lots of good stories and made the whole tour very interesting.

Our tour and tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable. Do wear comfortable shoes as it's a good hike but would encourage everyone to do this tour. Thanks so much.

The creepy old women in the graveyard was the scariest thing on the tour. Unfortunately the stories haven't been that scary and we were also missing some folklore ghost stories. However, Joris is a great guy and we had a very good time with him.

An enjoyable walking ghost tour

Joris was a wonderful tour guide! He texted my husband and I well in advance and was very helpful when arranging our meet up place since we had never been to Japan. He was informative and told amazing stories! We did walk quite a bit, but my husband and I were prepared by wearing comfortable sneakers…they are a definite must during a walking tour. He took us to many sites that we would never have known about without his tour. We got so many good pictures and we will cherish each one. We also enjoyed the cultural aspect of the tour including a visit to a sacred shrine where we learned how to properly pray and pay our respects. Thank you for such a lovely tour and we hope many more will be able to enjoy you as we did. Cheers!

We really enjoyed our ghost tour! We saw some areas in Tokyo we hadn't yet gone too, and heard some great spooky stories... at the scene of the crime (but a few hundred years later)! Note that this is a walking intensive tour, so make sure you're up for that and wearing comfortable shoes!

This is great tour but a lot of walking without much resting time. Make sure you eat before you go to the tour as there are no stop for dinner.

Great tour for Ghouls and History

Fantastic ghost tour. Veterans of ghost tours know it’s not just about scary stories to tell by the campfire but also a great source of history in the local area and this tour is no exception. The tour covers some great history moments, though some are very tragic. One thing unique to this tour unlike those I’ve experience in the past (particularly in the U.S.) is that the Japanese make efforts to appease their spirits! Lol us Americans are more than happy to let an angry spirit run around which may make for a more haunting tale, but you’d miss out on the the beautiful shrines and the the stories behind how the spirits are appeased. If you are unsure based on the description the tour is private to your party which is always a plus! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very funny!

One of a kind tour of Tokyo’s spooky side!

Bottom line up front: An excellent, unique experience for anyone looking to hear some spooky stories about Tokyo’s history in the company of one of the city’s most delightful tour guides! This was a great experience! Highly recommended for anyone looking to get off of the beaten path and hear some wild stories about the history of Tokyo. What’s most surreal is that all these locations are right in the middle of the city and are places you would definitely miss were it not for Mrs. Haruka! Mrs. Haruka was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and an absolute joy to walk around the city for a few hours with. She also took the time to ask us about our interests and provided recommendations on places to go in the city, following up after the tour to send us links to every place or experience we’d talked about. A fantastic way to stretch you legs and see something no other tour or “top 10” list can offer!
