Overview

Seeing the sunrise from Mount Batur is an enchanting experience, but many tours involve lots of trekking. This tour makes it easy to get up the mountain without having to hike thanks to the use of a 4WD vehicle. After taking in sunrise views, you'll have time to enjoy breakfast and a hot spring soak before returning to your hotel.

Pickup and drop provide direct from customer accommodations at south Bali area. Pickup time depending of pickup area: Nusadua, Jimbaran, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, Nusadua at 3am Sanur, Denpasar, Ubud, Kintamani at 3.30 am Pickup & drop direct from Uluwatu, Sidemen, Candidasa area will an additional charge IDR200k per car by cash to driver ( for return service ) with pickup time 15 minute early.

We had a great time with this tour. Our driver Ridho picked us up promptly at 3am. He drove us to the base of the mount where our jeep driver Dedik waited for us. Then we started the journey up to the place to see the sunrise. We were a little surprised by the amount of jeeps up there. We had to stop at a lower point. But Dedik was prepared and walked us to a higher point with a viewing platform. The sunrise was breathtaking. Dedik drove us to the black lava fields afterwards and showed us the place and let us feel the heat from the lava. Really cool experience. The hot springs was a nice way to finish the morning surprise tour. Our first driver picked us up from hot springs and took us to have a nice meal. Both of the drivers were very informative and attentive. They took gorgeous pics of us and tailored the tour to our needs. Highly recommend this tour!

Mt Batur. Our driver was Ridho who was very helpful and our jeep guide was De Saka. He was an excellent driver and we had a fantastic time. So pleased we did it.

Unique tour guide (Broto) who will make the moment special. Highly recommend!

I want to deeply thank Broto (our guide) who took my partner and myself up to the lookout for the marriage proposal to my now fiancé! I had let the tour operators know before hand my intentions of going up to the lookout at the early morning hours and it was well communicated. Broto was an absolute legend as he helped me create the special moment with my partner. He took us to a secret spot as the lookout was very busy. His driving skills with the 4wd are of professional level and he was very friendly, polite and respectful. He also has very good photography skills! I would highly recommend you choose Broto and this tour operator. There are a lot of these tour operators but this one is unique! Thank you so much for everything. It truely will be one of the best moments of my life!!!

We had a brilliant time at Mt Batur. We got picked up at 3am by our driver JRO WI, who was so lovely and very accommodating all day! It took us around 2 hours to get to Mt Batur, where we met our tour guide Dipa, who again was very accommodating all day and really made our experience! He drove us up to Mt Batur and as it was so busy, showed us a nice quiet place to see the sunrise. Which was absolutely beautiful!! He also took some lovely photos of us all together. We then went to Black Lava which was a sight to see, then ended the day at the natural hotsprings. All in all, a lovely day trip with the most amazing views! Would definitely recommend to anyone!! Couldn’t thank our driver JRO WI, and our tour guide Dipa enough for making the day so much better. Thankyou!

This was well worth setting the alarm for 2am and the 2hr drive to the Mt Batur. The whole tour was awesome and I am so glad we did this. Our tour guide was informative, helpful, funny and very patient with my fear of heights. He took some fabulous couples pics for us as well. My husband thoroughly enjoyed bush bashing around the lava fields, the hot springs were wonderful and the view with "breakfast" was amazing.

It was an awesome experience!! Our driver Top and our guide Deti both were amazing and knowledgeable. They got us a nice spot for the Sunrise at Mt. Batur and helped us click pictures. Speaks good English and a very friendly. This tour is definitely recommended. Its for the entire family.

Incredible morning on Mt Batur

What an amazing experience seeing the sunrise on Mt. Batur. We were picked up at 3:30am by Kedak and brought to the base of the mountain we’re we met Yoga. From there we got in his jeep and went off roading up to the mountain which was so much fun. Yoga got us a great spot and took my wife’s phone to make a time lapse of the enter sun rise will taking so many amazing photos of us on my phone. They really came out so beautiful and will most definitely frame a number of them. Once we saw the sunrise, yoga started off roading us down to the black lava rocks but allowed us to connect to his cars Bluetooth to play music and just had the most fun with us the entire time. Once we arrived at the rock, yoga took a bunch more amazing pictures and videos of us. He finally dropped us off at the hot springs where he gave us the warmest goodbye and thanked us for the fun morning. After our swim in the hot springs, we met back up with Kedak who brought us to the Lewuk coffee plantation which was such a cool experience. Had a great tour around the plantation with such an elaborate coffee and tea sampling which were excellent. Finally we had a special request for Kedak to bring us to the Tirta Empul to perform the water purification ceremony. It was the most incredible spiritual experience i have ever experienced. Best part we were home by noon and had the rest of the day to relax. Highly highly highly recommend this experience.

Sunrise surprise

We had a brilliant trip. We had ‘Top’ who was an excellent guide and driver. We were very happy with the service he provided. Despite getting up early in order to see the sunrise it was a fantastic day. I’d also like to add that Broto, our jeep driver, also went out of his way to make it such an enjoyable trip; taking many memorable photos for us. It gets crowded but you can sit in the keep to watch. Stand on the roof or just go for a wander.

Memorable introduction to Bali

We read that the trekking experience was tedious, so finding a Jeep option to see the sunrise from the volcano was a great option. Following a stop for complementary coffee and tea, we saw the sunrise and proceeded to the lava fields, hot springs (gorgeous!) and a treetop lunch that was unexpected and a fabulous treat. Then, we tried nearly a dozen coffees and teas at a coffee plantation where we saw a Lewak and purchased coffee "from the animal" as a special souvenir. Our host was punctual and friendly and accommodated all of our needs. This was a welcome start to our vacation in Bali!
