Exhibitions are in Spanish only, so bring a translation app if your Spanish skills aren’t up to the challenge. English-language tours are possible, but it’s best to call ahead to confirm.

The National Naval Museum is in the provincial town of Tigre, along the Lujan riverfront west of the harbor. Regular trains run from Belgrano station in Buenos Aires to Tigre (about a 45-minute journey); the museum is a 20-minute walk from the train station. Alternatively, catch one of the many buses that run along the waterfront or hop in a taxi.
The museum is only open three days a week. Swing by on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday between 10am and 6pm, or check for additional opening hours during the Argentine summer holidays (December-January). Guided tours typically take place three times a day, but it’s best to double-check the website as times are subject to change.
