With its unbeatable views, Victoria Peak is one of Hong Kong’s most popular tourist attractions. Nearly every city sightseeing tour stops at Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Fishing Village, and Stanley Market. There are even quick “layover” tours departing from Hong Kong International Airport, allowing you to snap some photos from the top of the peak before heading out of Hong Kong.

The quickest and most iconic way to reach Victoria Peak is aboard the Peak Tram, which departs every 10 minutes or so from the lower terminus near Central Station. Alternatively, visitors can ride bus #15 to the top. The peak is also a stop on hop-on hop-off bus tours.
To avoid long lines at the tram and crowds on the observation platforms, visit first thing on weekday mornings. The busiest times tend to be summer weekend afternoons and public holidays. The peak also gets busy in the evenings when visitors seek panoramic views of the Symphony of Lights multimedia show around Victoria Harbour.
Situated at the top of the peak, Sky Terrace 428 is the highest 360-degree observation deck in Hong Kong. Budget-minded travelers who’d rather not pay the entrance fee have options: the Peak Galleria has a free observation deck on Level 3, which is slightly lower in elevation. The deck at the Lion’s Pavilion at The Peak is another free option.
