Kiyomizu-dera Temple is one of Japan’s oldest and most eye-catching Buddhist temples. Its classic red pagoda has been influential to Japanese architecture for centuries. Located on a hilltop, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is also worth visiting for its sweeping views over Kyoto.
My experience on this tour was fantastic, Robert told us about history and the mitology of japan, someone from the group also participated doing part of the ritual to find the right person in one of the temples, I highly recommend this tour
Roberto is a wonderful guide!!!!.
He took our group early in the morning and took us to a wonderful places he explained the history and some funny facts of it.
So good job I even gave him a tip, we were lucky to meet a gaisha and a maiko alongside the tour and he even explained the history about the geisha and maiko
It was amazing and incredible to visit Kyoto yesterday, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative on Japanese history. He was very good in guiding us around Kyoto temples. I highly recommended the tour to tourists.
Your leader gave good explanation on each temple and shrine but we were only given 30 minutes at each location and it felt very rushed. If I had to do it over again, I would have just gone on my own.
We manage to see 6 great sites in one day. Tour is very well organized ans run.
Our guide (man) in morning group 3 (afternoon 2) was very funny and insightfull. He shared a lot of insights in Japanese life, Letterman, meaning of wordu, children namignuo etc.
Golden pavillion was amazing.
Family of 4. Guide was very knowledgeable. Very rainy day. Worth the $$. We were not able to get the lunch included so we were on our own. We returned to Kyoto station for lunch. Wish we would have just had more time at Fushimi Inari to eat and shop.
