Take a guided tour of the Museo del Confetto Mucci Giovanni to learn about the company’s production of traditional confetti, like sugared almonds, Jordan almonds, and other candies. Established in 1894, Confetti Mucci Giovanni is one of the oldest confectionery producers in Italy, and the museum is housed in the factory’s original headquarters in the city center of Andria. The four museum sections include a collection of vintage equipment and machinery, as well as exhibits demonstrating the stages of production so you can see how confetti are made from start to finish.

An art nouveau building in the center of Andria houses the museum, which is surrounded by restaurants and cafés.
The confetteria is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers; the museum is not.
Andria, located just north of Bari, is best reached by car. Park near the main Piazza Umberto I and follow the signs to the Museo del Confetto, just a 2-minute walk through the historic center of Andria.
The museum and adjacent confetteria are open daily but close briefly at midday, so be sure to arrive either in the morning or late afternoon for a tour. The museum also is closed on Sunday afternoons.
