Green River Rafting through Lodore Canyon trips are filled with excitement and beautiful scenery. We will encounter 800-foot canyon walls superbly crafted by Mother Nature of Precambrian Bedrock along with exquisite vermilion rock formations. Many of its exciting whitewater rapids were named by John Wesley Powell, who first discovered the canyon in 1869. Powell’s adventures live on in the whitewater rapids he named: Disaster Falls, Triplet Falls and Hell’s Half Mile. Set aside as an American treasure in 1938 under the National Park System, the Green River through Lodore Canyon is a sanctuary for bighorn sheep, pronghorn and birds of prey. This trip is a geologists dream with rock layers from 1.1 Billion to 20 Million years old; come time-travel with us on the Green River!

Capitol Reef National Park, nestled in the heart of south-central Utah, is like a geological wonderland, showcasing the incredible Waterpocket Fold—a nearly 100-mile long marvel in the Earth's crust. Imagine wandering through vibrant canyons, standing in awe of towering cliffs, and discovering hidden rock formations. Your guide will take you along the Capitol Reef Scenic Drive, potential hikes like the Capitol Gorge Trail and Cassidy Arch Hike, and stop along the Hickman Natural Bridge. Our guide will take you on a journey through history as well as the flora and fauna of the park!

The large swath of land known as Utah’s Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument is a collection of geologic splendors and a labyrinth of seemingly endless colorful canyons. Southwest Adventure Tours will take you on an intimate tour through many of these canyons and visit the monument’s unique landscapes. The monument has one of the highest concentrations of slot canyons anywhere in the World and this tour will concentrate on hiking through some of the best ones.

You will have a local knowledgeable guide who can teach you about our area. All guides are certified in emergency rescues and will keep you safe during your slot canyon hike. The drive to the trailhead is a 4x4 dirt scenic road, all guides are equipped with proper vehicles. We will make sure you leave Southern Utah with amazing memories and photos from your hike through the longest slot canyon in the world. Guides will snap all the photos you need and stop for breaks as needed.
