The basics

The museum is housed in the House Bedo, a former family home and architectural pastiche blending Belgian art nouveau with conventional Hungarian design. The stained glass windows here are not to be missed, and the museum collection features furniture in complete sets, along with paintings, porcelain, glassware, and more.

You can buy same-day tickets or pre-book entry; check the calendar before you arrive to see if the museum is hosting a talk or roundtable discussion. Since the museum is only a short walk from top sights like St. Stephen's Basilica and the Hungarian Parliament Building, it's easy to stop by on a walking tour or visit after a sightseeing adventure by Segway or bike.
