The Basics

If you’re looking for a way to get closer to Polynesian culture while on Maui, book your tickets for the Myths of Maui Luau at the Royal Lahaina Resort. As the sun starts to set over the Pacific, your experience will begin with a shell lei being placed around your neck before you tuck into the pua'a kālua (roast pig) cooked underground in the traditional way.

Next follows a show with traditional dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand followed by a fiery finale with the whole cast just as the sun dips behind the horizon.
