No glacier landing, no regrets!

Firstly, 10/10, would recommend! This was the experience of a lifetime. The views were stunning, even though the forecast was for rain and clouds. Our pilot, Clay, gave us an extremely smooth but dynamic and exciting ride through the mountain passes. You should be aware that you may not be able to make a glacier landing given certain conditions, but it was so incredible without landing, and we have no regrets!

Wow!!! What a spectacular, mind blowing and memorable experience for the whole family. The glaciers are growing and flowing at Denali. Seeing the “amphitheater” and understanding the geology forming the 30+ mile Ruth glacier was unreal. Takeetna air taxi is top notch. Grateful for this experience.

I don't have a vocabulary to describe the scenery of this trip. It would be hard to find its equal anywhere on this planet. This is an opportunity I'll be forever grateful we didn't pass up. Our pilot was, literally, world-class (we looked up her bio when we got home) and Talkeetna Air Taxi's operation is thoroughly professional.

Highly recommend! One of the best travel experiences I have had. Although it was too cloudy to see Denali, the glacier landing was epic. Also was surprised how smooth everything was.

Hi Don! Sounds like you were one of the unlucky ones who caught this bad stretch of weather we are still having! We have some days that we know we won't be able to fly, and others that we hold out hope that we can offer some sort of scenic tour. Sometimes, due to this hopeful nature, we cancel flights within an hour of flight time. We try to communicate with everyone as soon as we know about cancellations, but oftentimes people will be checking in when we get the word that the round of flights has been called off. Hopefully your dissatisfaction was with the weather and not with our service. Cheers, Heidi and the TAT family

Seeing the glaciers from the airplane gives you a sense at how big and majestic they really are. Landing and standing on a glacier was memorable. Our pilot, LeeAnn, provided so much history on the area. She was great!

Our pilot was so knowledgeable and took on us on amazing path to and from the glacier. Smooth flight and landing/takeoff. Wear warm gear for the glacier landing - hats and gloves! It was so cold!

Amazing experience! We had excellent weather on August 31st. The highlight of our Alaska vacation so far. Best seats: be the co-pilot seat or choose the last seat on the left in the De Havilland.

August is a tough month in Alaska. Lots of rain and weather and for 3 days I attempted to take a flight with Talkeetna Air Taxi. They were great to work with and kept safety in the forefront. They rescheduled me a number of times, answered all my questions, followed up on status, and when the weather just wouldn’t cooperate, provided a full refund quickly on my trip. Lots of great reviews on the flight, I can’t provide any feedback on that, but I can tell you that the staff and scheduling process are awesome. I will definitely book another flight with Talkeetna Air Taxi when I’m back in town.

We had booked a flight for Saturday 8/7/21 but it was canceled because of bad weather. Hopefully I will be able to come to Alaska again and would love to see Denali by air

Conquered my fears!

I was pretty nervous about flying in a small plane over the mountains. The pilot, however, was so great and the ride was so smooth that my fears just disappeared two minutes into the flight. The views from above were amazing! We saw the peak of Denali poking above a layer of clouds and then went under the cloud layer to see the glaciers and fly around mountain ridges. It was incredible! I highly recommend the glacier landing! My husband and I were in awe the whole time! This was such a wonderful experience!
